Hello! I am new here, and i have the same problem as bizarrebob. Thing is that i have reinstalled Windows a couple of times and i do get the Bluescreen almost everyday anyway. Not always when i start windows, but even when i am inside working with Windows it comes blue screen and it restarts for no reason at all. Sometimes when it restarts windows uninstalls my video drivers for my Graphics card. I replaced the HD with a new one so i cant be that. I have just now looked thru this thread and i i have looked in regedit and i cant find any Value GinaDLL.. Also i just now turned of Automatic Restart, so i hope i can see what the Bluescreen message says. Does anyone of you have any idea what it could be? Could it be the Motherboard, RAM, Graphics Card.. Thankfull for reply!
Hello SmilesGB,

I would start off with running a windows memory diagnostics.
Please download [url=http://oca.microsoft.com/en/mtinst.exeWindows Memory Diagnostic,
Save it to somewhere you will remember.

Preparation
After downloading the tool, run it and accept the EULA.
You will be asked to either make a floppy disk or create a CD image.
If you want to use a floppy disk, insert a floppy disk and hit the top button.
If you want to use a CD then hit the bottom button and save the 'windiag.iso' to a place you can remember.
Once you have saved the 'windiag.iso' you will have to burn it to disk, a good program to use is ISO Recorder.

Starting the Diagnostics
Now you should have the CD burnt or the floppy created. The next step will be to run the diagnostics.
Insert your CD or floppy and reboot the computer. You should get prompted to boot from the CD or floppy.
If you didn't get prompted to boot from CD or floppy you will have to change the Boot Order in the BIOS so that CD or floppy comes before the hard drive.

The Results
Once the Diagnostics start running, let it run for about 4 full passes. Preferably overnight.
When the scan has done 4 full passes, or an overnight scan, look at the bottom of the screen.
The bottom of the screen will indicate if any errors have been found.
If errors have been found please check how many under the "results" part of the bottom table.
You can then reboot your machine by pressing the 'X' key.
Please report back with your findings.

Regards,
Olrik
Hi SmilesGB,

I've split your Topic off into its own thread so that diagnosis and solutions can be specific to your machine's problem.

Best Regards
Hello Again! For Artellos: After i got the response i went home to start the test "I am at work". This is what i got to begin with in the test. Windows Memory Diagnostic (WMD) could not process the system memory map. This occured because of deficiencies within WMD, not the computer. As i result, not all of the computer memory will be tested. The specific problem was: The memory map contained ranges that extended above four gigabytes. Then i saw it started, i stayed for a while to check what happend, and this happend while i was home. Pass Test Cache 1 Mats+ On Failed 1 INVC On Failed 1 LRAND On Failed 1 Stride6 On Failed 1 WMATS+ On Failed 1 WINVC On Failed 2 MATS+ On Failed What do you think of this?
Hello SmilesGB, it COULD indicate that the RAM is faulty, Though it appears you have 4GB of RAM or more in your PC. I would try taking out all the memory modules but 1, then running the WMD again. Regards, Olrik
Hello! Yeah i got 4GB of Ram in it. I got 2 pcs of 2GB memorys in it, so i will remove of them and run the test again. I will let you know the progress. Thanks for all help. Regards Jon
Hello! ok Artellos this will be alot of text. But here the results of 16 Passes. When i paused the test and went to the beginning of the list i couldent see Mats+ pass 1. Here are the results. Or can you now tell what could be wrong? Thanks for all help! Regards Jon
Remove the 2GB stick of memory currently in the computer and put a piece of tape on it that says Defective. Put the other 2GB stick in the computer and run the memory test again. Hopefully one of the two sticks of memory is good and will come up clean when the test is run.

If the 2nd stick runs clean, dump the defective one.

It's a waste of money to install more then 3GB of memory on a 32 bit Windows XP ( or any 32 bit Operating System for that matter) system. Read here for info:

Info posted by Digerati (Post #2) here: http://forums.whatthetech.com/Physical_Mem…_XP_t84543.html

This article has some excellent info on >3GB of memory, using the /3GB and /USERVA switches.

Hello! Thanks! Thats too bad, those memorys are almost new, had it for a few months only. Is this the reason why the computer reboots and all the bluescreens? Regards Jon
Hello SmilesGB, Have you tried taking out 1 memory module and running the diagnostics again like Ztrucker said? Only if you test them separately can you be sure. Regards, Olrik
Hello Artellos Yeah i have now. Its currently running and so far after 6 Passes all Succeeded. It seems that this one is alright. So maybe it is the memory? Regards Jon
Hello SmilesGB, It sounds like the other memory module might be defective (like Ztrucker said) I also suggest you read the links he gave you about running more then 3GB on a 32bit Operating System :) Regards, Olrik
Hello! Ok, ive read them. It seems that XP only supports 3GB of Ram, exept the 64x version. I was planing to install that Windows XP 64-bit instead of 32 since my computer support it. So with all this in the hand you think the reason to the bluescreens och reebots was the defective memory fault? Regards Jon
