I hate to appear really dumb but what is the difference between spyware and malware?

Hi Sandra,

If you think you have Malware, it is a specialists job to remove it, so post in the HJT forum by following this link

If you want to clear your computer of Spyware, you should have installed on your system an Anti-Spyware software program like SuperAnti-Spyware and run it once a week to keep spyware from your system.

Please follow this link to assist you in a Maintenance program for your system.

Spywares are the program which are used to monitor/Log the activity performed on a computer. These can be used for legal or illegal perpose. Malwares are programs with malicious intention. It can be damaging your computer, spying on you or any other malicious task like stealing passwords.
