Compaq NC6120 With Many Problems (hijackthis log included)

This is my first post, so please forgive me, if I posted it in the wrong place.

I have so many problems with this laptop, that I may forget to include them all.
1 - it won't defrag (saysDisk Defragmenter could not start) not even in safe mode.
2 - I can't formatt ( I insert XP Disk, shut down, start laptop and it takes me back to my desktop.
I tried several times, but still nothing.


I ran HiJackThis and Malwarebytes Anti Malware below are the reports.

If anyone could help me with this, I wiould appreciate it

Hello donnakarensc, and welcome to the WTT forums Sorry to hear of the problems with your computer. Please follow the excellent advice provided by ISHAN.SHARMA and copy and paste your full HJT and MBAM logs into your post in the correct forum using the links provided. I have edited out your email address as its not wise to quote this in an open forum….. As we do not analyse HJT and MBAM logs in this particular sub forum I have uplifted them as attachments When you post (copy and paste the full logs please) your logs for analysis please provide the malware Team with a link to this topic so they will know what has been going on You should not delay in requesting assistance from the malware team as your logs iindicate nasty infection present. However you should not attempt to use any removal tools ( nor click on any warnings that may flash up on your computer) without the guidance of a Malware Team member Regards paws

Hi Paws, Thank you for your kind reply. I knew I'd screw up my first post. I'm truly sorry. Do I go to the link in the post above yours and select new topic? I'm almost afraid to post, now that I have screwed up the 1st one. Was I correct when I copied and pasted both files? Sorry to be a bother. Hi Karen I checked your post over in the malware removal forum and you did everything fine.. Just one tip I would like to pass on to you…… The malware fighters over there, look first for posts to answer that have zero response, so resist the temptation to post a follow up in your other thread (until someone comes back to you,) as this could show up as a "reply" and lead the malware fighter to think that one of their colleagues was already assisting you….. Its just a question now of sitting tight and waiting, but please be assured they will get to your post a soon as they can. Its Ok to come back with any questions you might have in the meantime (In this thread here) and I'll keep an eye out for them. However we won't make any suggestions on system settings on your machine until a malware fighter has declared your machine "clear" Regards paws
