I am a first time user, and unsure of the process. Please excuse me if I am naive. My problem is that when I am on the internet, I keep getting redirected to another website: pantomi.com. I don't know how to stop this. I stumbled onto HijackThis, downloaded it and ran it. I will now post the resultant log file. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Run HJT and click on Open the Misc Tools section.
  • Click Open Uninstall Manager…
  • Click Save list… and save it to your Desktop.
  • Copy and paste the file uninstall_list.txt into your next reply.

The main problem with your PC is that it has neither a firewall nor an anti-virus installed, and this has led to the quantity of slime that you know have squatting on your hard drive. Although Windows Defender and Spybot - Search & Destroy have a place in the protection of your machine, they are nowhere near sufficient for today's internet and the risks a computer faces. Unfortunately given the difficulty in dealing with the effects of infection on a computer without an anti-virus program, the best advice I can give you is to back up any important files and then reformat and reinstall. I can provide you with links to free security programs, if you wish, but these won't solve your present problem, only help prevent it in future.
