[Resolved] Trojan.Zlob.G

Hello again,

My Brother's computer has been infected with something that the firewall stops at what seems to be random times during its use. The warning is about Trojan.Zlob.G. I ran spybot 1.6 and found only browser items. AVG finds nothing. Here is a hijackthis log V2.0.2 this time. I renamed it and it shows more than the file log file I got before I renamed it. Thanks for any help.

Hello and Welcome to the forums!

My name is Gringo and I'll be glad to help you with your computer problems. HijackThis logs can take some time to research, so please be patient with me. I know that you need your computer working as quickly as possible, and I will work hard to help see that it happens.

Please do not run any other tool until instructed to do so!
Please reply to this thread, do not start another!
Please tell me about any problems that have occurred during the fix.
Please tell me of any other symptoms you may be having as these can help also.
Please try as much as possible not to run anything while executing a fix.

If you still need help, Scan again with HijackThis, and copy/paste" a new log file into this thread.

(vista users please right-click the hijackthis Icon and run as admin)

Also please make an uninstall list and post that as well

Make an uninstall list using HijackThis
To access the Uninstall Manager you would do the following:

1. Start HijackThis
2. Click on the Config button
3. Click on the Misc Tools button
4. Click on the Open Uninstall Manager button.
5. Click on the Save list… button and specify where you would like to save this file. When you press Save button a notepad will open with the contents of that file. Simply copy and paste the contents of that notepad here in your next reply.

Thanks for getting back to me Gringo! My brother tells me that all of the zlob warnings have stopped and his computer is acting normally. Is it possible for this stuff to just stop? I can continue to work with this as I can get access to his computer. He would like to leave it alone if there is no serious danger.

Hello no it don't just go away. Maybe his antivirus took care of it but to be safe and sure just send me a new hijackthis log so I can go over it. gringo
