When I ran Trend Micros again it did not identify the said trojan. Does this possibly mean it got it already?
I posted this:
Only if it were this one.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ext\Stats\{1d4db7d2-6ec9-47a3-bd87-1e41684e07bb} (Adware.MyWebSearch) -> Quarantined and deleted
I don't know if that was the trojan alert. It looks more like Adware then a Trojan. That's why I suggested running the combofix program to see if it finds anything like a trojan. It's possible that the trojan was trying to download on your pc and it was blocked from installing.
I checked my TM report summary and it listed that entree as a threat that was stopped, but was unable to quarentine, two times actualy.
With that in mind I feel confident that it di not infect my system especialy since neither of the programs we ran found it.
After further review…. it gave an infected file link. I t showed that it was in the Content ie5 file. This showed in the infected files summary even though the TM summary showed it as a threat that was stopped. Soooooo….whadaya think? Run the Combo or skip?
Hi. After reviewing the instructions I noticed that they state that CF will disconect and reconect the internet connection. If I am to disconnect, should I do it just after downloading CF and then run it?
