Hello All,

Please help me with this. My system is infected with Virus…. I have avast on my system and it keeps on showing the warning sign.

Welcome to the Whatthetech Malware Removal Forum

Your log looks fine and your not stating what virus that Avast found. Your version of Hijackthis is also outdated and may not be showing everything, lets do a few things.

Please run this free online virus scanner from ESET

Note: You will need to use Internet explorer for this scan
Tick the box next to YES, I accept the Terms of Use.
Click Start
When asked, allow the activex control to install
Click Start
Make sure that the option Remove found threats is ticked, and the option Scan unwanted applications is checked
Click Scan
Wait for the scan to finish
Use notepad to open the logfile located at C:\Program Files\EsetOnlineScanner\log.txt
Copy and paste that log as a reply to this topic

Drag your copy of Hikackthis to the trash and download and install the latest version by Trendmicro

Download Trendmicros Hijackthis to your desktop.

Double click it to install
Follow the prompts and by default it will install in C:\Program Files\Trendmicro\Hijackthis\Highjackthis.exe
Open HJT Scan and Save a Log File, it will open in Notepad
Go to Format and make sure Wordwrap is Unchecked
Go to Edit> Select All…..Edit > Copy and Paste the new log into this thread by using the Post Reply and not start a New Thread.

DO NOT have HijackThis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

Post the ESET report and a new HJT log by Trendmicro please
