Computer just slowed down over the weekend. Have tried a couple of scans, defragging, and removing unnecessary files. nothing has sped it up.

Hi! Welcome to the forums.
My name is Scotty. I would be glad to take a look at your log and help you with solving any malware problems. HijackThis logs can take a while to research.
Please be patient.

Please make a uninstall list using HijackThis
To access the Uninstall Manager you would do the following:

1. Start HijackThis
2. Click on the Config button
3. Click on the Misc Tools button
4. Click on the Open Uninstall Manager button.
5. Click on the Save list… button and specify where you would like to save this file. When you press Save button a notepad will open with the contents of that file. Simply copy and paste the contents of that notepad here in a reply.

It has gotten some better since the malware, but there are still stalls in its processing and even word was acting funny i.e. stalling. It still takes forever for the computer to start up, like 10 minutes. I checked the available memory, and I have 50% of it full with alot of pictures and home made videos. Anyother suggestions?

Hi

Download Flash_Disinfector from here and save it to your desktop.
Doubleclick on Flash_Disinfector.exe to run it and follow the prompts.
Wait until it has finished scanning and then exit the program.
The utility may ask you to insert your flash drive and/or other removable drives. This may include your mobile phone.
Please do so and allow the utility to clean up those drives as well.

Then run DSS again and post the new log.
I am not certain if the disinfector worked. I downloaded, double clicked on it, everything blinked like a window was about to pop up, then nothing happened. So, I have run another DS Scan. Here is its log.

Thanks for all of the time you have spent on this
Hi

We will try one last thing, to ensure there is no malware.

Please download and install IceSword

IceSword is in compressed RAR file format so you will need a utility like WinRar or the open source 7-Zip to extract it
Download and extract 7-Zip

The use 7-Zip to exract IceSword to C:\Program Files\IceSword

Once IceSword is extracted, with all browser and Explorer windows closed, run IceSword
  • Once IceSword is open, click the Win32 Service Function on the left Menu Bar
If any red entries are found, click the blue Log Tab at the top of the screen and save the log to documents folder as service-list.txt.
  • Now, Click IceSword's Process Function on the left Menu Bar
If any red entries are found, click the blue Log tab at the top of the screen and save the log to documents folder as processlist.txt.

Then run MBAM once more, a Quick Scan.

Post back with the logs from Icesword and MBAM and a new HijackThis log.
