Hello,
I get pop-ups from time to time about either:
TROJAN-SPY.HTML.Bankfraud.dq
TROJAN-SPY.Win32.GreenScreen
Trojan-Clicker.Win32.Tiny.h

I originally also had a blue background only issue with no wallpaper and I couldn't access my task manager…
after running spybot…I managed to "fix" this? don't know if it'll be bothering me again with this problem…

I'm just spooked now with the trojan issue thinking about identity theft and all…I need to do quite a bit of online transactions..

here's my HJT log as follows..PLEASE HELP..thanks in advance

hi, first disable spybots tea timer just in case: 1. Run Spybot-S&D in Advanced Mode. 2. If it is not already set to do this Go to the Mode menu select "Advanced Mode" 3. On the left hand side, Click on Tools 4. Then click on the Resident Icon in the List 5. Uncheck "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts. 6. Restart your computer. next we will use hjt, then boot machine into safe mode: start HJT, click "Do a system scan only" put a checkmark beside the items below, close all windows and click "fix checked". O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [GEST] m‘|\ü O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [smarten] C:\WINDOWS\system32\helobkxa.exe to help show all files; FOr XP: on the desktop double click my computer,at the top click on> tools>folder options>view> then select "show hidden files and folders", then UNcheck "hide protected operating system files " also UNcheck "hide extensions for known file types" click apply to all folders, apply then ok you might copy/paste the safe mode part into notepad and save it so you can find and read it in safe mode. to reach safe mode; tap the f8 key during a computer restart. chose the first option on the list; safe mode. once at the safe mode desktop, navigate to the system32 dir and see if you can find and delete: helobkxa.exe also in safe mode: Empty your Temp folders. Go to Start > Run and type:cleanmgr. Windows will scan. When done check these 3 and press *ok* to remove: Temporary Files Temporary Internet Files Recycle Bin ————————————————- reboot normally. looks like you have 2 antiviirus: AVG and Avast! if this is the case you should remove one via the add/remove programs panel. two is not better than one with antivirus. post a new hjt log, see if you still get popups about the malware.
