In my home-network (win xp pro sp2), I have a desktop pc with a number of usb devices connected to it, and I'd like to use them from another computer (laptop) in the network. I know how to share printers, and I share the external harddisk, but I was wondering how to share eg. a card reader, scanner, webcam, digital camera, … that are connected to the desktops usb-ports.
I've found a number of solutions, both hard- and software: an usb-hub connected to the LAN, or software from fabulatech or eltima.

Before spending some money, I'd like to have your advice. Has anyone experimented with similar solutions, found other solutions, is anyone sharing usb-connected hardware?
