I was visiting a blog when my computer recognized and blocked a worm. I am uncertain if the block was successful because of how my computer seemed to slow down. I did a Hijack Scan (as seen bellow), but I am unfamiliar with how to read it to see if there is any potential problems. I would appreciate it is anyone can see recognize any issues. Thank you for your time.

Hi ca$hmoneyenterprise,

I can't see any malware in your HJT log, that doesn't mean your machine is clean but it's a good sign. I recommend you do the following:

Open the ESET Online Scanner in Internet Explorer
  • Tick the box next to YES, I accept the Terms of Use. and click Start
  • Allow the ActiveX control to be installed by Internet Explorer
  • Once the ActiveX has finished loading click Start to initialize and update the scanner
  • When the Computer scan screen appears, leave Remove found threats UN-checked, but check the box next to Scan unwanted applications. Then click Scan to begin the scan.
  • Once complete and the summary page appears, press Start->Run, copy/paste the following command into the box and press OK:

    notepad "C:\Program Files\EsetOnlineScanner\log.txt"

  • The log file should now appear in Notepad, copy and paste the contents in your next response.

Download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) to your Desktop (right-click the link, select Save Target As…, select your Desktop and press Save)
  • Close all applications and windows.
  • Double-click on dss.exe to run it, and follow the prompts.
  • When the scan is complete, two text files will open - main.txt <- this one will be maximized and extra.txt<-this one will be minimized
  • Make sure Format->Word Wrap is unchecked
  • Copy (Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of main.txt and extra.txt in your reply

Once complete, please post the Eset report and both DSS logs, you won't need to produce a new HijackThis log as DSS produces one for you.
Do you still need help with your machine? If the instructions are unclear or something isn't working, please let me know before proceeding.
