AVG has been finding the Vundo virus repeatedly. I ran the self-help Vundo Remover. But I am not sure that it resolved the issue. T he romover stated that it could not locate the virus. AVG also has also found an adaware program and a program by the name of PolyScript repeatedly. And the last concern is that when I start the computer I am receiving an error message that reads: "Error loading C:\WINDOWS\sytem32\fpgrnwdw.dll" I am not sure exactly what this means. Any explanation and help is greatly appreciated. I thank you for your time and efforts! Below i have posted the Hijack This Log.

Hello and Welcome to the forums!

My name is Gringo and I'll be glad to help you with your computer problems. HijackThis logs can take some time to research, so please be patient with me. I know that you need your computer working as quickly as possible, and I will work hard to help see that it happens.

Please do not run any other tool untill instructed to do so!
Please reply to this thread, do not start another!
Please tell me about any problems that have occurred during the fix.
Please tell me of any other symptoms you may be having as these can help also.
Please try as much as possible not to run anything while executing a fix.

If you follow these instructions, everything should go smoothly.

:Uninstall list:

To access the Uninstall Manager you would do the following:

1. Start HijackThis
2. Click on the Config button
3. Click on the Misc Tools button
4. Click on the Open Uninstall Manager button.
5. Click on the Save list… button and specify where you would like to save this file. When you press Save button a notepad will open with the contents of that file. Simply copy and paste the contents of that notepad here in your next reply.

:run combofix:

Please visit this webpage for download links, and instructions for running the tool:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix

Please ensure you read this guide carefully and install the Recovery Console first.

The Windows Recovery Console will allow you to boot up into a special recovery (repair) mode.
This allows us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware.
It is a simple procedure that will only take a few moments of your time.

Once installed, you should see a blue screen prompt that says:

The Recovery Console was successfully installed.
Please continue as follows:

  • Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.
  • Click Yes to allow ComboFix to continue scanning for malware.

When the tool is finished, it will produce a report for you.

Please include the report in your next post:

C:\ComboFix.txt

:information and logs:

In your next post I need the following

1.uninstall list
2.log from combofix
3.new log from hijackthis

Gringo
First and foremost, thank you for your help thus far. The time I have available to get online comes and goes with business. So I will be as punctual as I can with responses. I have posted below all the logs you have requested. I look forward to your future response.

THANK YOU AGAIN!
Hello wisniewskiorthodontics

:P2P Warning!:

IMPORTANT I notice there are signs of one or more P2P (Person to Person) File Sharing Programs on your computer.

LimeWire
BitTorrent DNA

Please note that as long as you are using any form of Peer-to-Peer networking and downloading files from non-documented sources, you can expect infestations of malware to occur
Once upon a time, P2P file sharing was fairly safe. That is no longer true. You may continue to use P2P sharing at your own risk; however, please keep in mind that this practice may be the source of your current malware infestation

I'd like you to read the Guidelines for P2P Programs where we explain why it's not a good idea to have them.

References for the risk of these programs can be found in these links:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/commun…protection.mspx
http://www.techweb.com/wire/160500554
http://www.internetworldstats.com/articles/art053.htm
I would recommend that you uninstall LimeWire,BitTorrent DNA, however that choice is up to you. If you choose to remove these programs, you can do so via Control Panel >> Add or Remove Programs.

If you wish to keep it, please do not use it until your computer is cleaned.
