I apologise for creating yet another thread, but did you look at the two threads i posted?

My thread:

http://forums.whatthetech.com/Trojan_t92800.html

Other thread:

http://forums.whatthetech.com/antiwpa_dll_…elp_t88324.html

I'm sorry i don't want to waste your time, but in my diagnostic report my validation status is genuine, just like the other posters. Please check both threads. It was exactly the same problem in the other thread. IndiGenus told that poster that it was an illegal Windows crack, and asked him/her to download and run a diagnostic tool to check if his/her OS was valid before he could help him. I am assumming that if it is a virus it messes with your validation status. Mcafee also only recently identified this as a virus, and i couldn't remove it.

Here is my diagnostic report

Download ComboFix from Here or Here to your Desktop.

In the event you already have Combofix, this is a new version that I need you to download.
It must be saved directly to your desktop.

1. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.

  • Temporarily disable your anti-virus, script blocking and any anti-malware real-time protection before performing a scan.
  • Click on this link to see a list of programs that should be disabled. The list is not all inclusive. If yours is not listed and you don't know how to disable it, please ask.
  • Remember to re enable the protection again afterwards before connecting to the net

2. Close any open browsers and make sure you are disconnected from the net. Unplug the cable if need be before running combofix.
  • IF you have not already done so Combofix will disconnect your machine from the Internet when it starts.
  • If there is no internet connection when Combofix has completely finished then restart your computer to restore back the connections.

3. Now double click on combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
When finished, it will produce a report for you.
Please post the "C:\ComboFix.txt" along with a new HijackThis log for further review

Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall or freeze.
I couldn't turn off Mcafee firewall before i started Combofix(Iv'e been having problems with Mcafee as well since this problem started)

I downloaded Combofix on my join date.

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\antiwpa.dll

Registry::
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Notify\Antiwpa]

Save this as Save this as "CFScript"

Referring to the picture above, drag CFScript.txt into ComboFix.exe

Then post the results log and a new HijackThis log.
Hi i did that and Combofix tried to reboot my computer, and i still got these same error messages. This one comes up when i try to log on. This copy of windows must be activated with Microsoft before you can log on, do you want to activate Windows now? And then when i click yes this message appears. Windows product activation, windows is already activated. Click ok to exit. When i click exit it logs me off again? I noticed in the other thread with the same problem the user was also asked to include this folder into the CFScript.txt. Folder:: C:\Program Files\Windows XP Home-Pro-2003 SP2 Crack Also stupid question but did i have to put the CFScript in quotation marks?
I tried it again, and it wouldn't allow me to log on again. I had to start it in safe mode and make a copy of the log, i had to restore my computer to an earlier date to get on again.

Here is the log:

My computer still wont let me log in, i am getting these messages:

This one comes up when i try to log on.

This copy of windows must be activated with Microsoft before you can log on, do you want to activate Windows now?

And then when i click yes this message appears.

Windows product activation, windows is already activated. Click ok to exit.

When i click exit it logs me off again?

I have to start my computer in safe mode and restore it to a previous date to log in. When i run Yahoo-Anti-Spy it keeps indentifying a virus called Antiwpa-A and can't delete it. Mcafee was recognizing a similar virus but couldn't delete or quarintine it.

If i try to update and reboot my computer i can't log in, i have to start it in safe mode and restore it to a previous date to log in.

When you use system restore it brings back the hacked restore point. Guess you need to call microsoft about this or buy a new copy of windows XP. There is really no cure for this. You have been sold a PC with a pirated copy of windows.
I have the copy of Microsoft XP i was given when i bought the computer. The computer was bought through my Mothers work. Other people in her bulding bought the computer also, as they were given some kind of discount on it. People from the IT department in her work bought some as well i think. It is a government agency, so i don't think i would have been sold a pirated copy of Windows. I havn't had any problems with the computer since i bought it, i don't think iv'e rebooted it since i bought it. This problem only started happening when i starting getting these virus alerts from Mcafee and Yahoo Antispy, so i assumed it was the virus that was causing the problems. The only way i can think that i may have got it, was i clicked on a link that a friend sent me on msn? These problems started happening around that time. I'll just reboot the computer with the copy of Microsoft i was given, and if that doesn't work. I'll take it back to the supplier. Can i just ask what makes you say that it is a pirated copies of Windows, it's coming up as genuine in the diagnostic log, and i have checked several websites that indentiified Antiwpa A as a tojan? Thank you for your help.
Sorry for resurrecting this thread, but i found out what the problem was. A few months ago i had to get someone to put a new motherboard into the computer, my other one broke. He said that he had to add a crack to get the OS to work on the new motherboard. The new motherboard is an ASROCK Conroe1333-DVI/H. Will i have to get a replacement motherboard like the original or should my operating system work on this one? He said i will probably encounter the same problem if i reboot it. He thought i will need a replacement motherboard like the original.
