If you removed combofix already don't worry about it.

Make sure you have done this:

Double-click My Computer.
Click the Tools menu, and then click Folder Options.
Click the View tab.
Check "Hide file extensions for known file types."
Under the "Hidden files" folder, Uncheck "Show hidden files and folders."
Check "Hide protected operating system files."
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Can you still see those strange users afre doing the above?

Lets run an F-Secure online scan it will scan for Viruses, Spyware and RootKits:
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Start scanning button. A window will pop up.
  • Allow the Active X control to be installed on your computer, then click the Accept button
  • Click Full System Scan and allow the components to download and the scan to complete.
  • If malware is found, check Submit samples to F-Secure then select Automatic cleaning
  • When cleaning has finitished, click Show report (this will open an Internet Explorer window containing the report)
  • Highlight and Copy (CTRL + C) the complete report, and Paste (CTRL + V) in a new reply to this post
If Automatic cleaning with Submit samples hangs, click Cancel, then New Scan
  • When the cleaning option is presented, Uncheck Submit samples to F-Secure
  • Click Automatic cleaning
  • When cleaning has finitished, click Show report (this will open an Internet Explorer window containing the report)
  • Highlight and Copy (CTRL + C) the complete report, and Paste (CTRL + V) in a new reply to this post

Note: This scan will only work with Internet Explorer.
You must be logged on a administrator rights to run this scan.
The scan may take a few hours.

Also let me know how the computer is running now.

I would remove those bogus users. Click Start > All Programs> Accessories> System Tools> System Restore. See if that works.

It's possible you have a Backdoor Trojan

Backdoor.Trojan is a generic detection for a group of Trojan horse programs that open a back door and allow a remote attacker to have unauthorized access to the compromised computer.

You need To disable TeaTimer, it can stop our fix.

The best way is to do both, Right click the system tray icon and shut down. This will reset TT's registry snapshot. Then, open spybot in advanced mode and turn it off. When cleaning is done, open Spybot in advanced mode to turn back on.

Once fix is completed in the all clear post!!

Next:

Click Start > Run and Copy/Paste these commands hitting enter after each one:

sc stop AFinding Service

sc delete AFinding Service

sc stop Routing Service

sc delete Routing Service

sc stop WServing Service

sc delete WServing Service

Next:

Remove all Host EXCEPT:
O1 - Hosts: ::1 localhost

1. Hit “Start”, search for “Notepad”.
2. Right click “Notepad” and select “Run as administrator”.
3. Click “Continue” on the warning.
4. Hit “Ctrl + o” to open a file.
5. Browse to “C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc”.
6. Change the drop down box from “Text Documents (*.txt)” to “All Files (*.*)”.
7. Select “hosts” and click “Open”.
8. Make your changes and close Notepad.
9. Hit “Ctrl +s” to save.

Next:

Run hijackthis. Hit None of the above, Click Do a System Scan Only. Put a Check in the box on the left side on these:

O23 - Service: AFinding Service (AFinding) - Unknown owner - C:\Windows\system32\afinding.exe
O23 - Service: perfmons Service (perfmons) - Unknown owner - C:\Windows\system32\perfs.exe
O23 - Service: Routing Service (Routing) - Unknown owner - C:\Windows\system32\routing.exe

Close ALL windows and browsers except HijackThis and click "Fix checked"

Delete these files if listed:
C:\Windows\system32\afinding.exe
C:\Windows\system32\perfs.exe
C:\Windows\system32\routing.exe

Empty Recycle Bin

Reboot and "copy/paste" a new HijackThis log file into this thread.

Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.

ok , i have a litte concern , i have vista and sometimes i think maybe i dont have the same vista or operating system as me , so ill try and work out what you mean.and post what i understand you to mean

Right click the system tray icon and shut down.

well, ive right clicked everything in sight, the toolbar along the bottom of windows, the start button, ive searched the computer looking for system tray, no such name, its been a while since i used XP , perhaps system tray is CLICK START/move the mouse right and right click everything, well no SHUT DOWN option is anywhere , so ill just try a shut down , unless you tell me where system tray is on my laptop.

could you mean spybot has a system tray ?of coarse, that makes more sence  , nope , sorry to be so thick.

ill shut down my whole laptop,
work out how to open it in advanced mode, then continue.

backsoon.
