Sometimes on startup it gets stuck at the blue windows welcome screen, sometimes i get a CMOS check some error when the bios flashes at the very start of turning computer on. just recently my sound card decides it doesnt want to work either... im gonna try to reinstall the drivers, could a virus do all this. please help me out. thank you

i dont see a antivirus app in the log? do you need one? i think that updates for AVG 7.5 will end soon. AVG is moving to a new all in one suite 8.0

could a virus do all this.

possible yes, probably no. i think you have other issues going on.

yes i have AVG i must not have had it running when i did the HJT scan, i have AVG version 7.5.524 is the 8.0 suite free... should i download it? edit : updated drivers on sound card works fine now..

i have AVG version 7.5.524 is the 8.0 suite free... should i download it?


i am not sure how long updates will be available for v.7.5 i have a link somewhere, i will try to find it and post back.
avg 8.0 basic antivirus and antimalware is free:

ok i have the newest 8.0 version now and am currently scanning with it, is there anything i should remove with HJT? or do you need a new log now
