The process is not instant. Please continue to review my answers until I tell you your machine is clear. Absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear. So lets do this to the end!

Save and quit any work your doing before beginning the fix.
All hijackthis logs I ask for should be done in normal mode ( not safe mode)
These logs should be done last after you have followed my instructions in the previous post.

Please if you decide to seek help at another forum let us know. There is a shortage of helpers and tying 2 of us up is a waste of time.

I see you have Lime wire installed also. A majority of infected computers have some sort of file sharing program and is where amany get infected.
It's not the program so much as it is the garbage that gets downloaded with them. Please do not use this program untll I have you all clean.
I would give some thought to not using such
a program as it leaves you wide open for infections such as this one and much worse.

no that pretty much did the trick. the two anti-virus program's you recommended didn't exactly work with his computer, so we downloaded AVG which did the trick. but now we're just trying to figure out a few things, like while playing morrowind it won't auto save i'm not sure if that's something you can assist with or not cuz i have no clue of what's causing this problem. thank you for your time and assistance.

Getting an anti Virus program on it was only the first step.

Your HJT log shows your computer is infected. Without knowing what any anti virus program removed chances are good you are still infected.
I recommend you post another fresh HJT log and continuing until we deem the system clean from Malware.

HMMM..
Somethings quite a bit different here. The way it's listing programs.
Did you have to do anything different other than have to run it as administrator.

Maybe where you ran it from ?
Did you reinstall it today ?
Anything at all that may be different from the way you ran it last time ?
The problem is it may render some tools I use useless with things listed as they are.

Heres the difference.

Originally and normally it looks like this. As was with you first log.

C:\Windows\system32\taskeng.exe
C:\Windows\system32\Dwm.exe

Now it looks like this

C:..Windows..system32..taskeng.exe
C:..Windows..system32..Dwm.exe

. With literally thousands of files to distinguish good or bad and where there running from this kills 1 tool I use.
Hopefully you understand my dilemma not to mention my curiosity . One never can tell what malware will do next. :pullhair:

Let's try rebooting for the sake of it and rerunning HJT for me. If the log lists things as I have in blue type above post it.

C:\Windows\system32\taskeng.exe
C:\Windows\system32\Dwm.exe

Not c...Windows\system32\Dwm.exe

I've done some checking around. It looks as if you may have opened the log in wordpad instead of Note pad was all that's happened. Please do another HJT log and open it in notepad. This is what HJT normally opens the log with.

It might be because the first log was saved on one profile, and the last one was ran on another profile on the computer.
