[taydiggy]

After some careless websurfing by my brother and wife, I have contracted Conhook.D and Vundo. It hijacks my browser, makes my computer run slowly, and is very bothersome. I have Adaware installed, and when my system starts up, I can see these "registry modification detected" messages popping up every minute or so. It's like Vundo is recreating itself in my registry. Please help me someone. Here is my Hijackthis log.

[Noviciate]

You need to rename your copy of HijackThis.exe to seek.exe (or anything else you fancy.exe if you prefer as it doesn't matter) and then post a fresh log - this particular nasty sometimes interferes with the normal working of HJT and renaming is a simple way to get round it.
Also, run HJT and click on Open the Misc Tools section.

• Click Open Uninstall Manager...
• Click Save list... and save it to your Desktop.
• Copy and paste the file uninstall_list.txt into your next reply.
