First of all a HUGE thank you! I've been following a lot of your posts, LDTate and can only hope that someday I have the patience/education/expertise that you do. I really, really appreciate your taking the time to bail me out.
Check on the Hidden Files.
Check on the ATF Cleaner. (It didn't find anything.) It was indeed, slower on reboot.
MBAM required a reboot after installation. I have tried to run it before, and always got Runtime errors on execute. It's never asked for reboot before. But, sadly, I'm still getting vbAccelerator SGrd II Control Runtime Error "0" and MBAM Runtime error 440 automation error. I still can't run it.
System is incredibly slow overall. AVG Free Update, probably contributed initially, but that can't account for all of it. I connected to the internet (DSL) for this boot cycle only in order to see if the fake warnings came back. So far, they have not.
