Well I'm not seeing anything bad. Are you still playing StarCraft?

Very interesting topic here:

I fixed the problem by making the rICHTX32.LOG read-only! It stops the logging.

Yes, I actually just bought that 2 weeks ago and reinstalled to play with a friend since I lost the original. The logfile was created on January 1, so its been there awhile. At this point I'm willing to just throw in the towel and reformat but I don't know how to do SATA drives and I'm concerned about losing all the pictures I have on this computer or infecting my other. I'll research that and see how hard it is. I appreciate all the help, this is probably some sly keylogger that somehow is hiding really well. It even notes when I open a program it will read "APRIL 11, 2008 IE" then record what I type. Does it for everything. I used to play warcraft and I assume I picked it up from some kind of add on there and didn't know, its a common thing in that game. Thank you for all your help, I'll let this thread be wrapped up. At least you got rid of the nasty tova trojan for me so there is less chance of cross contamination.

It appears it came from blizzard. I'm not sure if the uninstall of Star Craft would remove it.

  • Click START then RUN
  • Now type Combofix /u in the runbox and click OK. Note the space between the X and the U, it needs to be there.
