Hi, today when i first started up my computer, poped up a window saying that the file "amvo.exe" was running incorrectly and had to be closed, or something like it, then i start scanning my computer with AVG anti-spyware 7.5 and it has foun this virus : "Trojan.OnlineGames.thx", i tried to put it on quarantine i even tried to delete it but nothing worked, and then i went to google to looke for some help and i found this topic, with a very similar problem:

I'm not having any issues with "tavo.exe" and "kavo.exe"

Hi, and thanks for helping me.
Well, that "trojan.onlinegames.thx" isn't allowing me to see hidden files and folders, like you said i went to C:\WINDOWS\system32 and couldn't find amvo.exe, and yesterday i was looking for the source of the virus and i found that it came from my sister's mp3 after i can it and now i've got 2 trojan.onlinegames.thx, and today when i started my computer another file was corrupted, the one on the screenshot, also heres my actual HJT log:

hi,

thanks for the info. try this first then look for the exe in the system32 dir:

FOr XP: on the desktop double click my computer,go to tools>folder options>view> then select "show hidden files and folders", then UNcheck "hide protected operating system files " also UNcheck "hide extensions for known file types" click apply to all folders, apply then ok

hjt has the ability to delete some files. i see you have avg antispyware, i dont see a resident anti virus?
please do a online scan here:

ESET online scanner:

uses Internet Explorer only
check "YES" to accept terms
click start button
allow the ActiveX component to install
click the start button. the Scanner will update.
check both "Remove found threats" and "Scan unwanted applications"
click scan
when done you can find the scan log at:C:\Program Files\EsetOnlineScanner\log.txt
please copy/paste that log in next reply.

ok good. but you need a resident antivirus, avg antispyware is more for trojans not virus/worms.

avg antivirus free edition: download, install, update and scan.
