Hello,

Ever since I've moved out here in the boonies, my dialup has acted strange. Sometimes it just quits, even though I'm still connected. Long story short I finally narrowed it down to this:
All URLs fail to even be attempted. Any program immediately says "connection problem" or "you are not connected".
If I use an IP to connect to a website, or say Ventrilo, everything is fine.
I can't figure out what causes this, or even use the internet long enough to search seemingly. Coupled with a few strange credit card transactions, I thought this might be the place to start. If the computer is not compromised, then I'm just annoyed, not in real trouble.

Thanks!
