Hi WTT and thanks in advance for any help.

I had an infection of smitfraud and followed the self help and believe I have gotten that taken care of, during the cleaning AVG found Vertimond (sorry spelling could be wrong) I beleive I have a clean system but wanted the experts opinion.

Below is a copy/paste of the last hijackthis log.

Most things seem to be working. The reason I started looking into a virus/malware was because an online game wasn't working, the game still doesn't work but the system itself "seems: to be all right.

Thanks
A Davis
Hi,

I can't see anything active, but let's have a closer look just to be certain:

1. Download this file -
ComboFix
2. Double click ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.
3. When finished, it will produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply

Note:
Do not mouseclick ComboFix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall

jedi
Jedi, Thanks for your help. I downloaded Combofix to my desktop, double clicked it hour glass for a few seconds and then nothing. I ran HiJackthis and am posting the log from that. I noticed "tea timer" I thought I stopped spybot teatimer but must not have. Could that be why ComboFix won't launch?

:) sorry to many questions. Below is the copy & paste of HJT log

I ran Bitdefender and the results are in html, I feel kind of … slow, for asking this but how to I attach that to the post? I know with text files it's just copy paste, not sure how to handle the html files. Hope it works. 📎BitDefender.html
The attachment worked fine.

It looks like you're clean, apart from you need to delete this folder, if it is still present:

C:\Program Files\WebRebates

jedi
Thanks for you help Jedi. I did delete those folder and any of the others I could find that bitdenfer reported. I still have the combofix, a folder with some combofix files in it, and a QooBox folder. Is it okay to go ahead and delete those? Thanks again for all your help.
Hi again,

You're most welcome.

Then, * Go to start > run and copy and paste next command in the field:

ComboFix /u

Make sure there's a space between Combofix and /
Then hit enter.

This will uninstall Combofix, delete its related folders and files, reset your clock settings, hide file extensions, hide the system/hidden files and resets System Restore again.
