I have been trying to fix this for a week now. What I have done so far:
1. CWShredder
2. Adaware
3. Spybot
4. AVG scan, both in regular and Safe Mode
5. A tool from AVG for the virus Lop
AVG keeps finding viruses and healing them or I put them in the vault. Viruses include Trojan Horse Generics, such as 10.SY, 10.AIN, and 10.AJR. Also found are Lop. I have had a lot of difficulty even downloading the above software and tools because of the continual pop ups and on several occasions the system was restarting without my prompting. Some of the pop ups suggest that there is pornography on the computer and offer to install software to remove it. I always close these pop ups, but sometimes I have to use the task manager to do this.
I really need some help with this to get the computer back in working order for my daughter. I appreciate any assistance. I have rebooted the computer and run hijackthis and saved the log file. Here is the file:
