First, please make and post new DSS reports for me to see, you need to run DSS like this:
- Make sure DSS.exe is on your Desktop
- Press the Start->Run, copy/paste the following command into the box and press OK:
"%userprofile%\desktop\dss.exe" /config
- A configuration box will appear, click the Check All button and press Scan!
Once complete, please post both DSS logs, you won't need to produce a new HijackThis log as DSS produces one for you.
I'm sorry you had trouble with the copy/paste command - what happened when you tried to do it?
Please do this instead:
Download rundss.txt which I have attached to this post and double-click it to open it in Notepad
Then select File->Save As… and save it as "rundss.bat" (you must type the quotes!)
Then, make sure DSS.exe is on your Desktop and double-click rundss.bat
DSS should start and a configuration box will appear, click the Check All button and press Scan!
You should get a new main.txt and extra.txt - the extra.txt will be minimized so look for it on the taskbar
Once complete, please post both DSS logs, you won't need to produce a new HijackThis log as DSS produces one for you.

It's best to post your logs in your responses rather than as attachments because it's easier to read, and it's searchable to others can learn from this thread.
Please open Start->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs and consider the following removals:
You have a program called Spyware Terminator installed on your computer. This program was until recently classified as a Rogue antispyware program. Typically, rogue programs do not provide any security benefits, and use false positives to goad users into purchasing a full version of the program. Due to it's tainted history, and the availability of more reputable programs for free, I strongly suggest you remove it - to do so, open Start->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs, look down the list for Spyware Terminator and remove it.
You have Crawler Toolbar with Web Security Guard installed. This program is considered adware here and on that basis I strongly recommend you remove it. To do so, open Start->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs, look down the list for Crawler Toolbar with Web Security Guard and remove it.
You have Shareaza, a P2P file sharing program installed on your computer. This program does not come bundled with malware as some similar programs do, but peer-to-peer file sharing networks are one of the biggest sources of malware we see. Anything downloaded from them cannot be trusted to be clean, because even if the file appears to be what it claims to be, it can have malware embedded in it.
I recommend you remove it, but of course the choice is yours.
You can remove Shareaza via Add/Remove Programs.

Download Flash_Disinfector from here and save it to your desktop.
Doubleclick on Flash_Disinfector.exe to run it and follow the prompts.
Wait until it has finished scanning and then exit the program.
The utility may ask you to insert your flash drive(s) and/or other removable drives. This may include your mobile phone.
Please do so and allow the utility to clean up those drives as well
————————————————————————
Download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri) to your Desktop (right-click the link, select Save Target As…, select your Desktop and press Save):
http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.exe
Double-click SmitfraudFix.exe
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press Enter
This program will scan large amounts of files on your computer for known patterns so please be patient while it works. When it is done, the results of the scan will be displayed and it will create a log named rapport.txt in the root of your drive, eg: Local Disk C: or partition where your operating system is installed.
IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other options until you are asked to do so!
If the tool fails to launch from the Desktop, please move SmitfraudFix.exe directly to the root of the system drive (usually C: ), and launch from there.
Note: process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user. Further info is available here.
————————————————————————
Please download and install the latest version of HijackThis from here:
http://downloads.malwareremoval.com/HJTInstall.exe
Once you have downloaded the new version, delete the old program file from your Desktop
Then run the new version's installer HJTInstall.exe and follow the prompts.
After installing, HijackThis will open automatically
————————————————————————
Once complete, please post the SmitfraudFix report and a new HijackThis log.

Sorry you had difficulty, we'll get on to those popups now. Spyware Terminator is not 'dangerous', but it's better to not have it for the reasons I outlined above. I understand about Shareaza, but that may well be how this machine was infected, so if it remains on the machine this type of problem may recur.
It appears that you have removed Crawler Toolbar, I will continue with instructions for cleaning this, if you wish to keep it then please stop and let me know.
Please print/save a copy of the following instructions because we will be using Safe Mode, during which time you won't have access to the internet.
Reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
- Restart your computer
- After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
- Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear;
- Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press "Enter".
- Choose your usual account.
Select option #2 - Clean by typing 2 and press "Enter" to delete infected files.
You will be prompted : "Registry cleaning - Do you want to clean the registry ?"; answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter" in order to remove the Desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection.
The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to replace the infected file (if found); answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter".
The tool may need to restart your computer to finish the cleaning process; if it doesn't, please restart it into Normal Windows.
A text file will appear onscreen, with results from the cleaning process; please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.
The report can also be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt

Then, open HijackThis, choose Do a system scan only and place a checkmark next to any of the following lines which are still present:
Then close all open windows apart from HijackThis, press Fix checked, OK the prompt and close HijackThis.R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://www.crawler.com/search/dispatcher.a…&tbid=61008

Open Notepad: press Start->Run, type notepad into the box and press OK
Select Format from the top menu and make sure Word Wrap is NOT checked.
Then, copy/paste the contents of the following code box into Notepad:
@echo off dir "c:\info.exe" /a /s >> "%userprofile%\desktop\look.txt" 2>>&1 dir "c:\Killvbs.vbs" /a /s >> "%userprofile%\desktop\look.txt" 2>>&1 dir "c:\infrom.exe" /a /s >> "%userprofile%\desktop\look.txt" 2>>&1 dir "c:\BrO_AcT.exe" /a /s >> "%userprofile%\desktop\look.txt" 2>>&1 dir "c:\p3r1ud.exe" /a /s >> "%userprofile%\desktop\look.txt" 2>>&1 dir "c:\KB915865.exe" /a /s >> "%userprofile%\desktop\look.txt" 2>>&1 dir "c:\Scanner.exe" /a /s >> "%userprofile%\desktop\look.txt" 2>>&1 dir "c:\Flash.10.Setup.exe" /a /s >> "%userprofile%\desktop\look.txt" 2>>&1Select File and Save as
Save it to your Desktop as "runme.bat" (you MUST type the quotes)
Locate runme.bat on your Desktop and double-click it.
A black box should open and close after a time, this is normal.
Another text file should appear on your Desktop called results.txt, do not open it until the black box has closed.
Post the contents of this file in your next response.
————————————————————————
Once complete, please post the new SmitfraudFix report, the results.txt output and a new HijackThis log.
Please repeat the process of pressing F8 while booting, when that menu appears, select hard drive boot, then immediately start pressing F8 again. Hopefully the Windows XP Advanced Options menu will appear, then you can select Safe Mode and continue with the instructions.
