Hello Carl,

Welcome to the Whatthetech Malware Removal Forum A couple of things we need to do before you begin,

Your HJT program is outdated and may not be showing everything, you can uninstall it via the Add Remove programs in the Control Panel and download and install the latest version by Trendmicro.

Download Trendmicros Hijackthis to your desktop.
Double click it to install
Follow the prompts and by default it will install in C:\Program Files\Trendmicro\Hijackthis\Highjackthis.exe

You also have windows set to run with Selective Startup and that may not be showing us everything
Go to Start> Run and type in msconfig and on the main tab, select Normal Startup

You have a very nice collection of malware, :smack: let run this first.

Download SDFix and save it to your Desktop.

Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to %systemdrive%
(Drive that contains the Windows Directory, typically C:\SDFix)

Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, the Advanced Options Menu should appear;
  • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press Enter.
  • Choose your usual account.
  • Open the extracted SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
  • Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
  • It will remove any Trojan Services and Registry Entries that it finds then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
  • Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
  • When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
  • Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt
(Report.txt will also be copied to Clipboard ready for posting back on the forum).
  • Finally paste the contents of the Report.txt back on the forum with a new HijackThis log
Hi Ken,

Thank YOU!!! I thought all hope was lost and no one was going to reply to me… :( And then you did…! Thanks!

Here is my SDFIX Log Below…

Thanks again for your help!

Hello Carl,

I have been at this for over five years and am affiliated with a number of malware removal forums, if I told you the amount of people posting with infected computers it would blow your mind. All of use that work these logs are volunteers and most times we just can't get to logs as fast as we would like to. BUT, I have you now so not to worry.

SDFix removed a bunch of files related to that infection, but there are still more to remove in relation to other malware. This is what I would like you to do.

Go to your Add Remove Programs in the Control Panel and uninstall RABCO

Open HijackThis > Do a System Scan Only, close your browser and all open windows including this one, the only program or window you should have open is HijackThis, check the following entries and click on Fix Checked.

Hello Carl,

Your HJT log looks fine but Malwarebytes removed some entries for the Vundo Trojan so run this tool.

Download VundoFix to your desktop

  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
  • Click the Scan for Vundo button.
  • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
  • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
  • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
  • When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
  • Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log in a reply to this thread.

Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove. In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button" when VundoFix appears upon rebooting.
