Download gmer.zip from here and save it to your Desktop.
You will need to unzip it before you run it.

To do this: Right click on the zipped folder and from the menu that appears, click on Extract All…
In the 'Extraction Wizard' window that opens, click on Next> and in the next window that appears, click on Next> again.
In the final window, click on Finish

Double click gmer.exe to begin:
  • If you get a message about "system modification", click Yes and work through the rest of the instructions.
  • Ensure that the Rootkit Tab at the top is selected.
  • Make sure all the boxes on the right of the screen are checked, EXCEPT for ‘Show All’.
  • Click the Scan button on the right.
  • When the scan has completed, (you'll have time for a snack and a cuppa!), click the Copy button underneath - this will save the report to your Clipboard.
  • Paste it into Notepad (Start > All Programs > Accessories > Notepad) and save it somewhere convenient.
  • Click the >>> Tab at the top and select the Autostart Tab.
  • Click the Scan button on the right - this one should only take seconds to complete.
  • Save the log as before.
Copy and paste both reports into your next reply - you may need to post them separately.
The Preview option may show the whole logs being posted, but they sometimes get cut down when the actual post is made, so check the post once it is completed.
Here are both logs you requested

Computer is acting normal. Only thing is I have created only one account on this PC for her named after herself but during startup it always asks for "user" to logon. Its always trying to reference a USER-6YJBCHVZ9X\user. I dont know if that has anything to do with infected files or not.
1) Remove any/all of the following files/folders that you can find:

Files

C:\WINDOWS\mrofinu72.exe.tmp
C:\WINDOWS\System32\uphdooqn.dll
C:\WINDOWS\System32\syqvwylj.dll

As an example:
To delete C:\WINDOWS\system32\filetogo.bye
Double click the My Computer icon on your Desktop.
Double click on Local Disc (C:)
Double click on the Windows folder,
Double click on the System 32 folder,
Right click on filetogo.bye and from the menu that appears, click on 'Delete'

Folders

C:\DOCUME~1\user\APPLIC~1\STEM~1

* The tilde(~) in either a file or folder name indicates that this name is longer than six characters and these have been replaced by the tilde for brevity. E.G. C:\DOCUME~1 = C:\Documents and Settings.
The first file, or folder, that uses these particular six letters gets the suffix ~1, the next ~2 and so on.
As there may be more than one folder that meets this criterion, you need to be careful to delete the right one. The contents should give you a clue, but if in doubt, DO NOT GUESS! Get back to me and i'll supply Plan B.

As an example:
To delete C:\WINDOWS\system32\foldertogo
Double click the My Computer icon on your Desktop.
Double click on Local Disc (C:)
Double click on the Windows folder,
Double click on the System 32 folder,
Right click on foldertogo and from the menu that appears, click on 'Delete'

2) You have a couple of entries in your log that point to files on your PC that I would like to have checked - if they are still present.

Please go to Jotti's and click on the Browse… button at the top and navigate to the following files in turn, and then click on Submit:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\hgypcgcr.ini
C:\WINDOWS\BMf3ad6d52.xml
C:\WINDOWS\pskt.ini
C:\WINDOWS\System32\wvwvs.exe

When all the scans have been completed, please copy and paste the results into your next reply.

If this site is busy, try VirusTotal: Click the Browse … button, navigate to the file and double click it and then click the Send button.

You may need to set Windows to show All Hidden Files and Folders - Instructions can be found here.
* These files are hidden to stop you accidentally removing something important.
It is advisable to hide them again after you have done.
*

3) I suggest that you also uninstall and reinstall Spybot Search and destroy as it appears that it has suffered some corruption due to an infection that you've picked up.
Once you've uninstalled it, reboot the PC and then delete the following folder before reinstalling: C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy

I'm not sure about the log-in issue - has this been something that has recently started to happen or has it been a long-standing problem?

As you know, when you do this it renames the folder to Cassie, but it my case it did not. If I was to hit Ctrl+Alt+Del it would tell me Cassie is logged on as USER-6Yetc. etc. Which in fact I logged on as cassie not user. so I dunno. Its not hurting anything…it just bothers the you know what out of me. :)
I only see two file scans - what happened to the other two? For the you-know-what irritation, have you tried creating a new Administrator profile with appropriate name and then deleting any others?
I couldnt locate the other 2 files that you wanted me to find. I have not tried to create and delete any profiles but I will try that next. So is she all clean?
I'd say so but the two remaining files are probably dodgy and i'd like to be sure before I have them nuked. Can you right click each and select Properties and tell me if there's anything that identifies the original owners of these two.
