[Resolved] Pop-ups in IE, using Firefox - Hijackthis log included

Hi,

I just registered here but felt that you guys could hopefully help me out. I'm pretty good with computers and should be able to sort this mess out myself, but I just can't seem to get anywhere.

I'm using the latest version of Firefox and have never used Internet Explorer on this laptop. Lately I have been getting a lot of pop-ups from IE while browsing through Firefox and I'm guessing I have some sort of trojan or infection.

I have ran Windows Defender, McAfee, ATF Cleaner and Adaware but still have the same pop-ups. I've now just ran Hijack this and here is the log.

Sorry about the delay in responding :(

Please open Notepad and uncheck Word Wrap to turn it off.

If you still need help, Scan again with HijackThis, and copy/paste" a new log file into this thread.

Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.

Hi, thanks for replying eventually :)

I think I may have fixed this problem after installing a few spyware programs as I don't seem to get popups anymore and now I have spyware blaster running also. But if you could check it over just to double check that would be great.

Basically I just kept getting a lot of popups in IE when I use firefox and my computer became increasingly slow.

Click Start > Run > and type in:

services.msc

Click OK.

In the services window find ##Id_String1.6844F930_1628_4223_B5CC_5BB94B879762## (Bonjour Service) if listed
Right click and choose "Properties". On the "General" tab under "Service
Status" click the "Stop" button to stop the service. Beside "Startup Type"
in the dropdown menu select "Disabled". Click Apply then OK. Exit the
Services utility.

Next:

Run hijackthis. Hit None of the above, Click Do a System Scan Only. Put a checkmark/tick in the box on the left side on these:

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [32 meet] "C:\ProgramData\blahrefref.n1tkmr"
O23 - Service: ##Id_String1.6844F930_1628_4223_B5CC_5BB94B879762## (Bonjour Service) - Apple Computer, Inc. - C:\Program Files\Bonjour\mDNSResponder.exe

Close ALL windows and browsers except HijackThis and click "Fix checked"


Delete these Files if listed:
C:\ProgramData\blahrefref.n1tkmr
C:\Program Files\Bonjour\mDNSResponder.exe


Delete this Folder if listed:
C:\Program Files\Bonjour



Empty Recycle Bin

Reboot and "copy/paste" a new HijackThis log file into this thread.

Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
