Hello Siiic812 and welcome to the What the Tech Forums

My name is Trevuren and I will be helping you with your problem.

Download SDFix and save it to your Desktop.

Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to %systemdrive%
(Drive that contains the Windows Directory, typically C:\SDFix)

Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, the Advanced Options Menu should appear;
  • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press Enter.
  • Choose your usual account.
  • Open the extracted SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
  • Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
  • It will remove any Trojan Services and Registry Entries that it finds then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
  • Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
  • When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
  • Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt
    (Report.txt will also be copied to Clipboard ready for posting back on the forum).
  • Finally paste the contents of the Report.txt back on the forum with a new HijackThis log
I hope you are well and not experiencing any difficulties carrying out my last set of instructions. If you are, do not hesitate to ask for further explanations. If however, your problem has been solved or you no longer require our assistance, please advise us accordingly and we will archive your topic.

Trevuren
Trevuren, Thank you so much for your help. I have attempted to do what you asked; however, I have run into a major issue. I am using a work computer, and they do not allow us admin rights, so when I restart the computer in safe mode, it will not allow me to log in with my normal log in name and password. I have a bad feeling that the only way to fix this issue is to mail my computer into the headquarters, which is pretty much the worst. Thanks again
Many of our more powerful tools require that the user have Admin rights to run them. If it is a work computer, by all means, let your company's IT Section handle the problem. I do not thin that they would be too pleased if something happened to their computer/software/data. Thank you for responding. I will now close the topic.
Since this issue appears to be resolved … this Topic has been closed. Glad we could be of assistance. If you're the topic starter, and need this topic reopened, please contact a staff member with the address of the thread. Everyone else please begin a New Topic.
