[Resolved] backdoor.win32.agent.dbm trojan.downloader.win32.agen

I'm using Embarq's online security, which is actually F-Secure. Embarq is our IP (local phone company).

I've been getting multiple detections of viruses for quite some time. Embarq picks them up, I choose to delete them…and they continue to come back. The last two I received were those mentioned in the topic title, but I've had others with different names I'm quite sure.

I have followed all the directions in your self-help posting. Here's what I've done:

ran Spybot 2-3 times with reboots in between. The first time it couldn't remove virtumonde.dll, virtumonde and wildtangent. The 2nd time it couldn't remove virtumonde. The 3rd time it couldn't remove virtumonde.dll. So, i don't think running spybot again is going to help.

**** Other notes from me **********

- As far as the computer running, it hasn't popped up any virus alerts in quite some time. It seems to be running fine.
- It did run an F-Secure Anti-Spyware update today, which is the first time I ever remember seeing that.
- The app Kaspersky is no longer installed. I installed that on an eval basis and uninstalled earlier this week.
- I am using Mozilla FireFox [removed] exclusively. It did download an update to 2.0.0.12 today.
- I stopped using IE about 3 months ago because I was tired of how poorly it worked, i.e. too many pop-ups even though they were tuned off, random IE windows opening, etc.
- Kaspersky's online scan didn't work with Mozilla (nothing happened on the first Accept button), so I ran it with IE. I had earlier denied access to the internet with IE just as another safety check, but obviously needed to turn that back on for this to run. Active-X Components was also denied, but turned back on (denied through IE Shield).
