Good evening.

I have noticed recently that my computer has taken longer to start up, and some programs like Mozilla take a lot longer to start up. I was wondering if there was something that I was missing that could be causing my computer to run low? I am posting my HiJack log and start up log.

Thanks in advance for your help. :pullhair:

Welcome to What the Tech, sorry if there was a delay, it's a busy forum.

Download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri) to your Desktop.
http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.exe
Double Click SmitfraudFix.exe on your Desktop. A folder named SmitfraudFix will be created on your Desktop.

[external image: Posted Image]

Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press Enter

[external image: Posted Image]

This program will scan large amounts of files on your computer for known patterns so please be patient while it works. It will create a file named:
c:\rapport.txt

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other options until you are asked to do so!

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

Please post:
C:\rapport.txt

Now please reboot.

I'd like to see an Uninstall List.

Please open up HijackThis.
Click on Open the Misc Tools section button
Click on Open Uninstall Manager
Click on Save list
A notepad document will open with a list of your installed programs. Please copy that into your reply.

Please post a new HijackThis(HJT) log.

Logs to include in your reply

Thanks for the quick reply. Here are the logs that you asked for. Thanks again for your help.

I see you have Viewpoint Manager installed on your PC

Viewpoint Manager is considered as foistware instead of malware since it is often installed without user's approval but doesn't spy or do anything "bad". This may change, read Viewpoint to Plunge Into Adware.
I recommend that you remove the Viewpoint products; however, decide for yourself.
If you wish to do some please also uninstall these

I ran the scan and chose to save a report after every scan as you suggested, once I fixed the problems, it didn't give me the option to save the report. It left the box blank, so unfortunetly I didn't get to save anything after it was done fixing the errors. There were four of them. I can always run the report again if needed. Thanks again for all the help.
There is a way to still get the report from the AVG Anti-Spyware scan you did.

Run AVG Anti-Spyware
Click on the Reports option
In the left hand side you'll see a list of reports
If you haven't done a scan since the one I asked you to do select the first one in the list, otherwise find the one with the date of that scan and select it.
Click on the Save report as button
A Notepad document will open, please post the contents of it into your next post.
Ok, sounds great. I won't be able to do this until around 10 PM tonight (its 9:30AM now here). But I will be sure to do it. Thanks again for all the help.
Sorry for the delay. I must have done something wrong then, cause it still doesnt show were I can save the report. I will do another scan tonight, and have a report to post for tomorrow evening. Sorry.
Running another scan probably wont help because once the original items have been quarantined, they wont show up as being on your computer anymore and I still wont know what they are. I'll ask you to run a different scan, it probably still wont help with what AVG Anti-Spyware found but may show any further malware.

Then please run the Panda scan here:
http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/ActiveScan.htm
Click on the big, blue button that says Scan your PC now
It will ask you to install an Active X component, accept and then choose to scan your entire computer.
It will automatically disinfect viruses but nothing else.
At the end it will produce its results and offer you to the option to save report, please do so and then post that log here.
