Hi ikeli

No malware showing in your HijackThis log, however that isn't a guarantee that your machine is clean. Is your machine behaving unusually or do you have reason to suspect infection?

We can do a little tidying up:

Then, open HijackThis, choose Do a system scan only and place a checkmark next to the following lines:

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant =
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch =
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =

Then close all open windows apart from HijackThis, press Fix checked, OK the prompt and close HijackThis.

Once complete, please post a new HijackThis log and tell me how your computer is running
Thanks for the reply Silver . System running fine except for some issues with Windows Movie Maker which I think has more to do with codecs but I just wanted to make sure there was no Malwear . Here is the new log .Cheers

Hi ikeli,

Yes there's nothing bad showing so if your machine is running fine and you have no reason to suspect infection then your machine is probably clean.

You can use HijackThis again to try removing those lines which didn't go, but if they still don't go don't worry about it, they are only non-default values and won't cause you any problems:
Open HijackThis, choose Do a system scan only and place a checkmark next to the following lines:

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant =
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch =

Then close all open windows apart from HijackThis, press Fix checked, OK the prompt and close HijackThis.

Operating system vulnerabilities can easily be exploited by malware so please ensure your operating system is automatically kept up to date by using Windows Update:

Select Automatic and select a suitable schedule

You have good protection software installed however please ensure it is kept up to date. Check that your antivirus and antispyware programs are set to automatically update themselves daily, and that your firewall is the latest version.
