[Resolved] Backdoor Graybird? and others

The best scan so far (I think) shows the following:

(Registry Values) - CWS.Oslogo, IBIS/Hunt Tool Bar, and (4) ISTBar listings
(File) - Backdoor Graybird BST located in c:\WINDOWS\PLAYER.EXE

I learn fast, and would appreciate any help or advice here. I have NOT employed any registry cleaners as of yet.
I have only used a lame spyware removal tool which only detected medium threat spyware.
Just by reading posts here, I get the drift that registry cleaners/fixers are not a good thing?
According to the scan, I have over 800 incomplete paths, broken files, etc.

Here is my log:

Hello and welcome to the Forum

* Download Dr.Web CureIt to the desktop:
ftp://ftp.drweb.com/pub/drweb/cureit/drweb-cureit.exe
[*]Doubleclick the drweb-cureit.exe file and Allow to run the express scan

[*]This will scan the files currently running in memory and when something is found, click the yes button when it asks you if you want to cure it. This is only a short scan.

[*]Once the short scan has finished, mark the drives that you want to scan.

[*]Select all drives. A red dot shows which drives have been chosen.

[*]Click the green arrow at the right, and the scan will start.

[*]Click 'Yes to all' if it asks if you want to cure/move the file.

[*]When the scan has finished, look if you can click next icon next to the files found: [external image: Posted Image]

[*]If so, click it and then click the next icon right below and select Move incurable as you'll see in next image:

    [external image: Posted Image]
This will move it to the %userprofile%\DoctorWeb\quarantaine-folder if it can't be cured. (this in case if we need samples)
[*]After selecting, in the Dr.Web CureIt menu on top, click file and choose save report list

[*]Save the report to your desktop. The report will be called DrWeb.csv

    [*]Close Dr.Web Cureit.

[*]Reboot your computer!! Because it could be possible that files in use will be moved/deleted during reboot.

[*]After reboot, post the contents of the log from Dr.Web you saved previously in your next reply.
OK, did exactly what you said, seemed like it was working.Scan progress bar got to last portion of scan and everything froze.I lost control of computer.I was able to end process after extreme lag of about 3 minutes. Then another 3 or 4 minutes and the computer finally shut down properly.I was able to restart normally after all of that. Was I supposed to disable anything before this scan?As far as I can tell, no scan was completed and during the long shut-down process, I saw a window asking me if I wanted to buy this scanning product. What do you think happened?
Lets try this:

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
Download - ATF Cleaner»

Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.

(If you use FireFox or the Opera browser
To keep saved passwords, click No at the prompt.)

It's normal after running ATF cleaner that the PC will be slower to boot the first time.

Next:

Download ComboFix from Here to your Desktop.

**Note: In the event you already have Combofix, please delete it from your desktop and download this new version . It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop**
——————————————————————–
[*]Close any open browsers and make sure you are disconnected from the net. Unplug the cable if need be before running combofix.

[*] WARNING: IF you have not already done so Combofix will disconnect your machine from the Internet when it starts

[*]Please do not re-connect your machine back to the Internet until Combofix has completely finished.
OK, did that ATF clean, it said "done" and 72.203 MB freedThen I exited, now reboot before going to combofix?btw, I am using IE 7, but I do have a firefox browser which I save for when IE 7 has hiccups.
OK, I hope i didn't screw up here. I am at my friends house on his computer I did not pull the cable, because it said combofix would disconnect for me, I did close all windows Now I have a lof file produced which is on my notepad what do I do next? is this thing finished?
Yay! looks like I did something right.

The program said it would fix problems, but when it ran, I didn't see anything come up?

Here is the log:

C:\Documents and Settings\Leonard Roe\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\G82MKBBP\ComboFix[1].exe

That's probubly why. Combofix needs to be on your desktop. Please move it there or the fix I will give you next won't work.
when I downloaded , it went to a temp file, I don't think I had a chance to change that. how do I move it from wherever it is now to desktop?
