Hi and welcome to the forums.

Appears to be a Smitfraud infection. Let's check first.

Please download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri) to your Desktop.

Double-click SmitfraudFix.exe
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

**If the tool fails to launch from the Desktop, please move SmitfraudFix.exe directly to the root of the system drive (usually C:), and launch from there.

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

Hmm…not picking it up. Let's deal with just that entry.

Make sure you download the new version of HJT first.

Run HijackThis. Hit None of the above, Click Do a System Scan Only. Put a Check in the box on the left side on these:

O2 - BHO: MSVPS System - {05D77B1C-2E50-4C37-B094-3D5695D688F8} - C:\Windows\popnetnmo.dll

Then close all windows except this one and press Fix checked.

Using Windows Explorer delete this file if found.

We need to make sure all hidden files are showing so please:

1. Close all programs so that you are at your desktop.
2. Click on the Start button. This is the small round button with the Windows flag in the lower left corner.
3. Click on the Control Panel menu option.
4. When the control panel opens you can either be in Classic View or Control Panel Home view:
If you are in the Classic View do the following:

Double-click on the Folder Options icon.
Click on the View tab.
Go to step 5.
If you are in the Control Panel Home view do the following:

Click on the Appearance and Personalization link .
Click on Show Hidden Files or Folders.
Go to step 5.
5. Under the Hidden files and folders section select the radio button labeled Show hidden files and folders.
6. Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide extensions for known file types.
7. Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide protected operating system files.
8. Press the Apply button and then the OK button and shutdown My Computer.
9. Now Windows Vista is configured to show all hidden files.

Delete this file. If you have problems deleting it try so in Safe Mode.

C:\Windows\popnetnmo.dll

Reboot and post a new HJT log from version 2.0.2. Please also let me know how it's running.
It seems to be back to normal!!!!! :D

Thanks for your help, heres the HJT log from version 2.0.2. Let me know if something else is out of wack.

Again thanks!

Looks like the file is gone but the entry in HJT is still there. Let's try it again.

Run HijackThis. Hit None of the above, Click Do a System Scan Only. Put a Check in the box on the left side of this:

O2 - BHO: MSVPS System - {05D77B1C-2E50-4C37-B094-3D5695D688F8} - C:\Windows\popnetnmo.dll (file missing)

Then close all windows except this one and press Fix checked.

Reboot and post a new HJT log.

OK glad to hear it's running better. Did you have Symantec/Norton pre-installed on this PC? There are still traces present. Check installed programs and remove from there if still showing. You also may need to run the uninstaller. http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgen…005033108162039
