[Resolved] Privacy_danger virus

Today I was greeted with the red biohazard logo and the accompanying warning. I ran Spybot, Ad-Aware SE, SpywareBlaster, and scanned using McAfee. Now my desktop is white, and I get a periodic warning "can't find C:Windows/privacy_danger/index.htm. Here is the log from HJT which I just downloaded and ran:

Hi JSL986 and sorry for the delay in getting to your post.

Please download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri) to your Desktop.

Double-click SmitfraudFix.exe
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

**If the tool fails to launch from the Desktop, please move SmitfraudFix.exe directly to the root of the system drive (usually C:), and launch from there.


Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

Thanks for the reply, but my CPU is presently in the hands of professional IT techs since I am in urgent need of getting my computer fully functional. Took it to them Saturday as it appeared that I was getting nowhere on my own, and was unsure of the timeframe for response from this forum.
