Please could you help, i have some annoying malware that keeps slowing up my PC no end. I have tried to use NoAdware and Ad-Aware and also Spyware Doctor but my computer seems to keep getting attacked. I also run Nod32 virus protection, but am not sure why or how it still gets in?!

Thanks a lot MrC, i ran the ATF and that cleared a fair few Mb worth of files, then i downloaded the ComboFix to the desktop and ran it however a window pops up after the autoscan starts up (before i press the 'Y' button saying that Windows has closed this program to help protect the computer (ant the title of the window says Data Execution Prevention). I've tried it a couple of time and each time that happens. Where is it gooing wrong? I havent tried any of the next steps.

For now please use VundoFix in place of ComboFix:

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.

• Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
• Click the Scan for Vundo button.
• Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
• You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
• Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
• When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
• Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.

Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button." when VundoFix appears at
reboot.

Run SAS as outlined also.

Open Windows Explorer & Go to Tools > Folder Options. Click on the View tab and make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is checked.
Also uncheck "Hide protected operating system files" and untick "hide extensions for known file types" . Now click "Apply to all folders"
Click "Apply" then "OK" (reverse this procedure when we are done)

No, the same data execution message comes up, it wont let me go ahead with running combofix. The computer seems to be running a little bit quicker than it originally was!

Also, now that the vuno thing has been removed, how do i stop it from coming back? Is there a particular spyware that i should rely on or a firewall that i should purchase? At the moment it seems that i have all these anti adware programmes on the computer (AdAware, Noadware, Spyware doctor, SuperAnti Spyware etc) and also i run Eset Nod 32 ver. 2.7. I used to run Mcafee Total protection 2007 and didnt have these issues and then when the subscription ran out it seesm these issues started, should i bu Total protection 2008?! V. confused!!

You can use Uninstall.cmd to remove everything from RVAXO, it will be found in the RVAXO-folder on your desktop.

If you used AVG Anti-Spyware and/or SuperAntiSpyware...........

Open up SuperAntiSpyware > Preferences > General and Start-up > Start-up Options > Uncheck > Start SAS when Windows Starts.
"SAS free" provides no real time protection so there's no need for it to be running, I suggest you keep the program and update regularly - you can use it to scan for malware. It's an excellent program. When you want to start it - just double click on the SAS icon.

AVG Anti-Spyware will provide 30 days of real time protection and then after that you can use it to scan for malware - you'll have to manually update it first.

Don't open e-mail attachments without first scanning them with an up-to-date anti virus program, even after doing that I would be very careful. Don't click on any executables in e-mails or any other links that you're not sure of.
Don't believe e-mails from your bank, financial institution, etc asking for personal informations - they're most likely fraudulent no matter how authentic they look.
