hello, i fell for a trap like many others, i downloaded that dam Rich Video codec, little did i know it was a trick. *sigh*
As i was downloading it, i thought to my self "hang on this don't seem right here" . SO i goggled the name `Rich video codec' and it said that is was a false codec, by then the thing had already downloaded. so i instantly uninstalled it and then searched in hidden folders and files for any thing else containing Rich Video Codec. I found 2 at max. About an hour and a half later, all my programs just minimized and then a red danger desktop wallpaper was there. I tell ya it gave my a fright.
I have a screen cap to help you!
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y120/lozzy45/danger.png
I deleted all my password saved in fire fox and what what little password i had in IE.
I keep also having these pop up saying stuff about mail wear and stuff and IE keeps on popping up with basically carp**, I dont even use IE. I don't get pop ups from FireFox, but yet it is still a pain in the ass, i just want my computer to go back how it was before.
I tried the system restore and it wont let me go back, if been back nearly a month and it still wont let me. I have tried every thing i can possible think off. I found this site but right clicking on the desktop and going to properties finding that the picture is a link from the web, i goggled it and then it brouht me to a top on this forum.
if so one could help me ASAP that what be great , my computer is my life i want it back to norm please. Thank you for your time in reading this and i hope someone can help me soon
