I have recently come down with an AV System Care infection. I do not know where it came from, I have used the computer very little in the time before the infection. I have also noticed that when I reboot, Windows will not start. I have to run in safe mode right now. THis has been and off and on again problem, and dont know if this last bout is because of the AV infection. My log is very short, to my surprise. I would appreciate any advise you have for cleaning up my system. Thank you

Close ALL windows and browsers except HijackThis and click "Fix checked"

Reboot in Normal Mode and "copy/paste" a new HijackThis log file into this thread.

Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
The system seems to be the same as it was before. When I reboot, I am not able to get windows to load, I HAVE to run in safe mode. The boot screen (windows icon w/status bar) runs for about 3-5 min, and then starts all over again. It will do this all night if I let it. The new log is attached. Thank you.
Mrs. Anderson,
When you save these scans, please copy/paste them into this topic, don't just attach them.

Download ComboFix from Here to your Desktop.
  • Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
  • When finished, it shall produce a log for you, combofix.txt. Post that log and a HiJackthis log in your next reply
Note: Do not mouseclick while its running. That may cause it to stall
Sorry, you wanted a copy paste. I just looked at an attachment…I understand why. Sorry about that, here is the copy paste.
