Howdy betsyrod,

Welcome to WTT. Your system has some tough Zlob infection as well as others, but here complicated by some either rogue software installed or software of questionable uses. You have both SpywareSoftStop and SpywareVanisher, the first a known rogue software, and the second has been listed here in the past as undesirable. It would benefit the situation if you went to Add/Remove Programs and uninstalled those two for now.

Then to make sure it doesn't interfere with our repairs, Disable SpySweeper and keep it disabled until all repairs are complete. SpySweeper has made some recent changes as well, and we can discuss these after infection is removed.

1.) Open it click >Options over to the left then >program options >Uncheck "load at windows startup".
2.) Over to the left click "shields" and uncheck all there.
3.) Uncheck "home page shield".
4.) Uncheck "automatically restore default without notification".
5.) Exit the program.

Go to Start > Run and type

cmd

and OK. Type the below commands and hit "Enter" after each line

sc stop FCI
sc delete FCI

Type Exit to close. If you receive any errors just move to the next steps.

————————————–

Close Internet Explorer and all running programs and run a scan in HijackThis. Place a check next to all of the following lines, then select “Fix Checked” and close HijackThis.

————————————-

Then make sure your protective software is disabled when running this next tool.

Download ComboFix.exe from here to your desktop, and click the downloaded file to run the repair.

When the command window opens, select 1 (and Enter). Allow the scan to run. When completed a text window will appear - please copy/paste the contents back here. This log can also be found at C:\ComboFix.txt.

A caution - do not touch your mouse/keyboard until the scan has completed. The scan will temporarily disable your desktop, and if interrupted may leave your desktop disabled. If this occurs, please reboot to restore the desktop.

Post back the C:\ComboFix as well as a new HijackThis log please.
