Hello triplec,

Welcome, I am looking at a possible Vundo infection, but I need you to do a few things first.

First off you are complaining about a slow laptop, besides a possible infection you also have THREE ANTI VIRUS PROGRAMS RUNNING and this is a big no no, with Anti Virus programs two or more is not better and will actually slow you down and cause conflicts and all kinds of problems, they use a huge amount of system resources that will slow your system down quite a bit. You have AVG , Norton, and Yahoo!Antivirus, its your call but you need to uninstall two of them via the Add Remove Programs in the Control Panel.

You are running HJT from the desktop, what I need you to do is to delete it and download and install the newer version by Trendmicro, please follow the instructions and the defaults so it will install correctly.

Download and install Trendmicros Hijackthis

Download the Trendmicro Hijackthis Installer, follow defauts and it will install in C:\Program Files\Trendmicro\Hijackthis and this is exactly where we want it to be.
  • Open HJT Scan and Save a Log File, it will open in Notepad
  • Go to Format and make sure Wordwrap is Unchecked
  • Go to Edit> Select All…..Edit > Copy and Paste the new log into this thread by using the Post Reply and not start a New Thread.
DO NOT have HijackThis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

This is important , do this before you post a Hijackthis log
C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe<– Right click on Hijackthis.exe ( looks like a man with a spyglass ) and rename it to Scanner.exe
