Hi and welcome to the forums.

My name is Dave. I would be glad to take a look at your log and help you with solving any malware problems. HijackThis logs can sometimes take a while to research so please be patient and I'd be grateful if you would note the following:
  • I will working be on your Malware issues, this may or may not, solve other issues you have with your machine.
  • The fixes are specific to your problem and should only be used for this issue on this machine.
  • Please continue to review my answers until I tell you your machine appears to be clear. Absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear.
  • It's often worth reading through these instructions and printing them for ease of reference.
  • If you don't know or understand something, please don't hesitate to say or ask!! It's better to be sure and safe than sorry.
  • Please reply to this thread. Do not start a new topic.
————————————————————————

First, it looks like you have 3 Antivirus programs running, AVG, Norton/Symantec, and McAfee. Is this so? Having more than one AV can cause system slow down issues, conflicts, errors, false positives, ect… I would recommend that you remove 2 of them and keep only one running. Keep the one you intend on updating preferably.

————————————————————————

Next, looks like you are pretty well infected here. Let's start with this:

Download and Run ComboFix
  • Download this file from below:
    Here
  • Disconnect from the Internet, than disable your Anti-virus and any real-time Anti-spyware monitors that are running.
  • Then double click Combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
  • When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply with a new HijackThis log.
Note 1: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall
Note 2: Remember to re-enable your Anti-virus and Anti-spyware before reconnecting to the Internet.
Before anything, thanks for the help Dave

Regarding your question. Yes, I have 2 AV in the computer (AVG and Symantec). Mcfee I uninstalled it from the control panel (add/removed) a week ago, but I still have a folder in program files with this name. Everytime I try to delete it appears a window saying access denied.
About Symantec, I can't uninstall it because is asking me for a password and I don't have this password…However, I shutdown Symantec everytime my computer starts because is not updated. Now , I have just running AVG

After closing my Antivirus I ran the Combofix and this is the log ( hope it can be useful):

I have removed McFee but I can't remove Symantec. It's still asking me for the password……

These are the first reports that I got after running the Combofix for the notepad and the log of Hijackthis (then you will find the report of Kaspersky and a new lof of hijackthis) thanks:

Oh boy, it's Norton Corporate 7.5 :o Where did you get THAT? They stopped support for it in 2004 I believe. There was a link to removing this referenced from another site to Symantec but Symantec pulled it because it's soo old….argg. Well, a couple of options I guess. There is a manual procedure on the Symantec site for version 8.5. I don't know how relevant it will be, and it looks pretty brutal. You would need to be quite comfortable with the registry, both backing it up and editing it. You can take a look and see if you want to give it a shot.

http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/ent-s….nsf&view=0

If that is not to your liking, I can advise a little less complicated way of going at it, but it will likely leave some kind of remnants of this program in your registry. Up to you, let me know. We can at least get it from starting up and using system resources. Anything left would likely be inactive.

We missed something, let's try HJT on it.

Run HijackThis. Hit None of the above, Click Do a System Scan Only. Put a Check in the box on the left side on this:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [www.hidro.4t.com ] enbiei.exe

Then close all windows except this one and press Fix checked.

——————————————————————————————–

Most of what Kaspersky found is either in your restore points, which we'll clean out at the end, or in your Norton Quarantine folder, we discussed this already. One file though I have a question on:

C:\Documents and Settings\Eduardo\Desktop\TESTDEPSICOLOGIADELMIEDO.zip/TESTDEPSICOLOGIADELMIEDO.exe

It's on your desktop I believe. What the heck is THAT? Do you have any idea? If not delete it.

———————————————————————————————-

Also, those files that I asked you to search for and delete. Did you find them? If so did you delete them?

That's it for now. Please address the questions, and post a new HJT log.
Hi again,

Well, I don't really remember where I got this Norton, but I think someone installed it when I went to fix my computer to the school in 2004……I took a look at the link you sent me and it looks king of very long steps. I think I prefer the way less complicated of going at it, pease let me know how.
———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
About this file:
C:\Documents and Settings\Eduardo\Desktop\TESTDEPSICOLOGIADELMIEDO.zip/TESTDEPSICOLOGIADELMIEDO.exe

Actually it's an internet joke that a friend sent me. When you open this file appears a fake warning saying that your computer is infected with a virus, then your screen goes on black for 5 seconds. After this a new window appears saying click here to fix this problem. Everytime you try to click on it the window moves. After few strikes appears something like smiling and saying OK now you can try for real and a smile. Then you click and everything is normal again…… However, I have made a copy of this file in a cd and deleted it from my computer.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
Regardin the files you ask me to delete:

mslaugh.exe
teekids.exe
enbiei.exe

I ran the search on these file like you told me and nothing was found!!
———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
I have done the fix check for
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [www.hidro.4t.com ] enbiei.exe

Okay, well get rid of as much as Norton as we can see anyway.

Please copy (Ctrl C) and paste (Ctrl V) the following text in the quote to Notepad. Save it as "All Files" and name it RemNorton.bat. Please save it on your desktop.

@echo off
sc stop ccEvtMgr
sc delete ccEvtMgr
sc stop ccPwdSvc
sc delete ccPwdSvc
sc stop ccSetMgr
sc delete ccSetMgr
sc stop DefWatch
sc delete DefWatch
sc stop SavRoam
sc delete SavRoam
sc stop SNDSrvc
sc delete SNDSrvc
sc stop Rtvscan.exe
sc delete Rtvscan.exe
del /q RemNorton.bat
exit

Double click RemNorton.bat. A window may appear to open and close. This is normal.

Run HijackThis. Hit None of the above, Click Do a System Scan Only. Put a Check in the box on the left side on these:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ccApp] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccApp.exe"
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [vptray] C:\PROGRA~1\SYMANT~1\VPTray.exe

O23 - Service: Symantec AntiVirus - Symantec Corporation - C:\Program Files\Symantec AntiVirus\Rtvscan.exe

Then close all windows except this one and press Fix checked.

Then using Windows Explorer delete the following folders:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared
C:\Program Files\Symantec AntiVirus

REBOOT

That should remove most of Norton AV, and should perk up your performance a bit I hope.

Update Java Runtime:

You are using an old version of Java. Sun's Java is sometimes updated in order to eliminate the exploitation of vulnerabilities in an existing version. For this reason, it's extremely important that you keep the program up to date, and also remove the older more vulnerable versions from your system. The most current version of Sun Java is: Java Runtime Environment Version 6 Update 3.
  • Go to http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp
  • Click on the link named Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 3
  • Click on the radio button to Accept License Agreement
  • Click on Windows Offline Installation, Multi-language and save the downloaded file to your hard disk
  • Go to Start => Control Panel => Add or Remove Programs
  • Uninstall all old versions of Java (Java 2 Runtime Environment, JRE or JSE)
  • Reboot your computer
  • Delete the folder C:\Program Files\Java if present
  • Install the new version by running the newly-downloaded file, and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Reboot your computer

Post a new HJT log, along with the AVG log, and let me know how it's running.
Hi

The computer is running much faster than before. Thanks!!

Here the report of AVG Anti Spyware ( I had to run it twice because the light went down just after click apply all actions, hope it doesn't affect. The first time found 15 tracking cookies and now just 4) and the HJT log

Great, glad things are better. Looks good to me too.

In addition to updating and using what you currently have you may want to consider the following:

Use a Firewall - I can not stress how important it is that you use a Firewall on your computer. Without a firewall your computer is succeptible to being hacked and taken over. Simply using a Firewall in its default configuration can lower your risk greatly. Here are some free and evalutation versions that provide
better security than the Windows Firewall.Sunbelt Personal Firewall
Outpost Firewall
For a tutorial on Firewalls and a listing of some other available ones see the link below:
Understanding and Using Firewalls

Visit Microsoft's Windows Update Site Frequently - It is important that you visit http://www.windowsupdate.com regularly or set your computer to receive automatic updates. This will ensure your computer has always the latest security updates available installed on your computer. If there are new updates to install, install them immediately, reboot your computer, and revisit the site until there are no more critical updates.

Install Spybot - Search and Destroy - Spybot: Search And Destroy with its TeaTimer option. This will provide realtime spyware & hijacker protection on your computer alongside your virus protection. You should also scan your computer with program on a regular basis just as you would an antivirus software.
A tutorial on installing & using this product can be found here:
Using Spybot - Search & Destroy to remove Spyware , Malware, and Hijackers

Install SpywareBlaster - SpywareBlaster will added a large list of programs and sites into your Internet Explorer settings that will protect you from running and downloading known malicious programs.
A tutorial on installing & using this product can be found here:
Using SpywareBlaster to protect your computer from Spyware and Malware

Install SpywareGuard - SpywareGuard provides a real-time protection solution against spyware that is a great addition to SpywareBlaster's protection method.
A tutorial on installing & using this product can be found here:
Using SpywareGuard to protect your computer from Spyware and Malware

Use IESpy-Ad -
IESpy-Ad will block access to malicious websites so you cannot be redirected to them from an infected site or email. Instructions for set up and use can be found at the website.

Update all of your Anti-Malware programs regularly - Make sure you update all the programs I have listed and the ones you are currently running regularly. Without regular updates you Will Not be protected when new malicious programs are released.

Here is a great link to a post here on securing your PC after an attack.

Hi Dave Now I have a weird problem. As you recomend me I tried to download Spybot, but after downloading the upgrading my system "freeze" and I had to restart my computer. Then I tried to continue with the Spybot but everytime I tried to open the file Symantec is trying to install again by itself. The folder of Symantec in add/remove is back. Futhermore, I can't get acces to Spybot. I tried to delete it to download it again but it says access denied. what should I do? ComboFix /u didn't show any disclaimer..just appear a window saying program removed!!

The folder of Symantec in add/remove is back.

Do you mean you can see it in Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel. And if so, when you try to remove from there what happens?

I'm really not sure what's going on at this point. Sounds like some kind of conflict with the 2 programs. And the Norton Corporate that you had on there isn't even supported any more. How comfortable are you in working within the registry? You may have to do some "hunt and find" in there for "Norton and/or Symantec". Then remove those entries. We should make sure you have a good backup of the registry first.

I don't think this is malware related at this point which is good. Are you having any other issues than this?
