My CPU stays on all the time, however I turn off my monitor using the on off button on the monitor. Normally my desktop would come up as soon as I move my mouse. Now it take for ever to come on. Below is a copy of todays highjack log file.

Anyone see a problem?

Howdy Lewg,

I see you posted another thread in the forum on the same issues. Just FYI - not sure about the others who assist but it is easier to skip duplicated requests altogether and just move on to the next person than do the added steps of hunting down, linking and closing the duplicates. No infection showing here, but you have that very questionable BargainChecker.com Toolbar installed (see here). Includes some Softomate files and functions, and a simple search of the web using the word "softomate" will show you what their track record looks like. Might consider uninstalling this through Add/Remove programs and see if that helps.

As for your other request for assistance in checking startups for trimming down that is not malware related, so you'll need to post that in the WTT Microsoft Windows forum for ideas on that.

Thanks my IE7 has a clean toolbar and the Bargain checker has been removed. Thanks for you help, and my desktop is now working just fine. :D

Didn't intend to be preaching so much but best others who might view this request gain from the information as well. Glad that removal brought the improvement there. Likely soon that toolbar will get it's own listing in a location where undesirable software is publicly identified.
