Copy/paste this filename into the Browse to the file you want to submit field:

C:\Program Files\WinUpdater\update.exe

Then press Send File, this will upload the file for analysis.

Next, please download and install the latest version of HijackThis from here:
http://downloads.mal.../HJTInstall.exe

Once you have downloaded the new version, remove the old version via Start->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs and then use Windows Explorer (right-click Start & select Explore) to delete the program file:

C:\AddPrograms\hijackthis\HijackThis.exe

Then run the new version's installer HJTInstall.exe and follow the prompts.
After installing, HijackThis will open automatically, but close the program for now.


Then, download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS)

• Close all applications and windows.
• Double-click on dss.exe to run it, and follow the prompts.
• When the scan is complete, two text files will open - main.txt <- this one will be maximized and extra.txt<-this one will be minimized
• Make sure Format->Word Wrap is unchecked
• Copy (Ctrl+A then Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of main.txt and extra.txt in your reply

Once complete, please post both DSS logs, you won't need to produce a new HijackThis log as DSS produces one for you.

I successfully downloaded the program but when I ran it, I got an error of the program running.. Is there another scanner that I can use? Could it be fixed just using hijack this?

What error did you get when you ran it?

Please try this:
Open Start->My Computer
Open Local Disk (C: )
Cut and paste (or drag and drop) the DSS.exe program file into C:\
Right-click DSS.exe in it's new location and select Send To -> Desktop (create shortcut)
Close Windows Explorer, and run DSS using the new shortcut on your Desktop.

If it works, please post both DSS reports.
If you get another error, please post a new HijackThis log and let me know what error was displayed.
