Howdy tracyjoan,

Welcome to What the Tech. Not too much in the way of outright obvious infection showing here, but by the looks of the active desktop file choice there is likely more infection not yet seen. Let's check more on that. I also see a partially removed Norton install, and although you have Spyware Doctor I don't see any installed necessary antivirus software. Did you uninstall Norton then not replace it at some point?

Disable Spyware Doctor, as it may interfere with repairs.

1. Open Spyware Doctor
2. Click on the 'Settings' button on the left hand panel
3. Then click on the 'Startup Settings' under 'Pick a Category'
4. Uncheck the box on the right that says 'Run at Windows Startup'

Then Download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri)

Double-click SmitfraudFix.exe

Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

**If the tool fails to launch from the Desktop, please move SmitfraudFix.exe directly to the root of the system drive (usually the C drive), and launch from there.

NOTE: Please do not run any other options from SmitfraudFix until we discuss the results.

Also Go Here and download Silent Runners to your desktop. Run it, and post back here the log it creates. If your AV queries the script, allow it to run. It's not malicious. It will create a file named Startup Programs, and will notify when the scan is complete. Copy the log from the Startup Programs file back here.
