i dont know if you need this but here it is for system info:

Scan saved at 4:16:03 PM, on 9/1/2007
Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600)
MSIE: Internet Explorer v7.00 (7.00.6000.16512)
doug i thank you…but is there anything more specific? please dont laugh….but what i've seen there would mean nothing to my girlfriend of more than 6 years…is there anything else?
If you are trying to prove that you were using or not using a particular program, or browsing or not browsing to a particular site, you might try the "history" list in your accounts Local Settings, or directly in the browser you believe you were using.
Or if the issue is information on your machine, like documents, music, media, etc. Look in your accounts "Recent Documents" list "MRU's" (most recently used) list.
just trying to prove that i was home on my computer….i dont think that would work…msn premium only shows a history for "today" anything that was yesterday would be gone….how would i get to accounts local settings? maybe that would work…or how would i do this "Look in your accounts "Recent Documents" list "MRU's" (most recently used) list" sorry to be a pain
ok how do i do that? i tried search & run….they didnt work, i recieved an error message….i'm not really all that proficient with the computer as you can see
OMG THANK YOU!!! i found what i needed…i thought just because i delete my browsing history that wouldnt be there….even bitcomet was there….at the time i recieved the topic reply i was looking in system32 folder…i intended to look in every folder & subfolder, searching for a trace of evidence, right clicking for the properties to see when it was last accessed…but this is so much better…i tried to put a screen shot here, of where i was looking but i guess thats not allowed, it just kept redirecting my browser to the folder where the picture was coming from….thank you again….:)

Hi 'cld'
All the suggestions Doug has given you are fine and absolutely correct.
BUT
If you really need to prove something to your Lady friend when on your computer, send yourself an email and CC it to her as it will tell the time you sent it and from what computer it was sent….. especially if you are using Gmail as I do sometimes.
It seems as I write this to you, all has been successfully established in your last post.
You can change your IE History by opening IE (Internet Explorer)>click on tools>in the General tab>three quarters of the way down change and save your history for more than one day.
Regarding Doug's last post to you:
Click on My Computer - C:\ - Documents and Settings - (select your username) - Local Settings - History
You asked how to do that, perhaps this may help:
Right click on My Computer on your desktop>click on Properties>double click on C:\Drive>there you will see under D, Documents and Settings>double click on it> (select your username) > Local Settings ->History. Hope this helps.
Tallin thank you for your input….i did that just now but i get a system properties window..with tabs..general, system restore, hardware etc…i checked each of the tabs and i dont see what you mean…is it because i dont have "my computer" on my desk top? i'm accessing it by clicking start then right clicking on "my computer"
Hi cld,
Here's a slightly different way to keep your "Internet History" that usually produces good results:
1 Open Internet Explorer
2 Click on Tools
3 Click on Internet Options
4 Click on the Settings box of Browsing History
5 Set the disc space to say 250MB
6 Under Days to keep History in memory adjust to taste! (I have mine set to 21 days and this is just fine for me, but as always its your call.)
7 Click on OK
8 Click on OK again
9 Close Internet Explorer
Close down your machine, restart it and see how you go.
Regards

Hi cld,
My apologies for guiding you incorrectly. As I have My Computer on my Desktop this is how I do it.
Double Click on My Computer> double click on C:\Drive there I find Documents and Settings>double click on it (select my username) > Local Settings >History.
For you as you do not have My Computer on your Desktop, Click Start>and double-click My Computer and follow from there.
Edited by Doug to change "right-click" to regular "double-click"
