hi everyone, i reformatted my sisters pc and installed windows on it again. the only situation is that the letter for my main harddrive is not C anymore its H now. i went to control panel/administrative tools/computer management/disk management. When i try to change the drive letter to C it gives me an erros saying that Windows cannot modify the driver letter of your system volume or boot volume. I would not care for leaving it as H but my main problem is that when i try to install the drivers from HP, it assumes that the C is the main drive so it does not let me install the lan driver that i need to install so i can finish installing the rest of the drivers via internet. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciative.
This early in the process, I'd be tempted to reformat again and install Windows again, being careful to confirm that it is using C:\ as the root directory. Best Regards
At the beginning of the installation Wizard dialog, you should be asked/told where the Windows is going to be installed. If it says H:\…. change it to C:\….
