Trying to clean a system that appears to have Vundo. Have updated and run a complete Adaware and Spybot session, and vundofix keeps finding random.dlls, and cannot remove them at reboot. Here's my scan log, and thanks so much!

The process is not instant. Please continue to review my answers until I tell you your machine is clear. Absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear. So lets do this to the end!

All hijackthis logs I ask for should be done in normal mode ( not safe mode)

Please if you decide to seek help at another forum let us know. There is a shortage of helpers and tying 2 of us up is a waste of time.

Then hit Submit
The scan will take a while before the result comes up so please be patient.
Then copy the result and post it here in this thread.

If Jotti's service load is too high, you can use the following scanner instead:

Thanks for the help. Looks like somewhere along the way, the Vundo .dlls got removed, as my scan didn't pick them up this time, yet yesterday I was stuck in an infinite reboot loop of find, clean, reboot, over and over. Anyway, here's the results of the scans:

Looks like the system is running better, but it still has 2 problems with Internet Explorer:

1. When I close IE, I always get the crash dialog (send to microsoft etc).
2. SOmetimes, when I click on a link, IE shuts down completely with no crash dialog. Right before it does this, it tries to open a random external pop-up to some random site.

Here's my logs after doing what you asked.

Once again, thanks for all your help.

    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\jkkll.dll.vir
    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\xxyyyaw.dll.vir

  • Return to OTMoveIt, right click on the "Paste List of Files/Folders to be moved" window and choose Paste.

  • Copy everything on the Results window to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy), and paste it on your next reply.
*If a file or folder cannot be moved immediately, you may be asked to reboot the machine to finish the move process. If you are asked to reboot the machine, choose Yes.
  • Close OTMoveIt
**If a reboot was necessary or you needed to Exit before posting the log, you will find a copy of the log at the root of the drive where OTMoveIt is installed, usually at :
C:\_OTMoveIt\MovedFiles\********_******.log
(where "********_******" is the "date_time")

OK, all symptoms seem to be gone. I will lock this system down a little bit more now so it doesn't get infected again! If I don't respond in a day or 2 then it's all good. Thanks so much for your help!

Not quite there yet.
  • Please double-click OTMoveIt.exe to run it.
  • Copy the file paths below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy):

    C:\Program Files\Online Services\vipozuju22011.exe

  • Return to OTMoveIt, right click on the "Paste List of Files/Folders to be moved" window and choose Paste.
  • Click the red Moveit! button.
