Hi,
I uninstalled Symantec's Norton 2007 AntiVirus a couple of months ago. Is it okay to remove the item 023 referencing Symantec? Also, is there anything else I should be removing?

Thanks for help

Denise

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Sorry about the delay in responding

If you still need help, Scan again with HijackThis, and "copy/paste" a new log file into this thread.

Please make a uninstall list using HijackThis
To access the Uninstall Manager you would do the following:

1. Start HijackThis
2. Click on the Config button
3. Click on the Misc Tools button
4. Click on the Open Uninstall Manager button.
5. Click on the Save list... button and specify where you would like to save this file. When you press Save button a notepad will open with the contents of that file. Simply copy and paste the contents of that notepad here in a reply.

Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.

Hi Mac,

I'm not having any known issues with this PC. I had run a HJT log to see if I noticed anything funny. I see that even though I uninstalled Symantec products, there are Symantec items in the HJT log. I am wondering if I can have HJT safely remove them and if you can review log for any other problems that may be lurking about?

Thanks - Denise

Hi

It's actually best to fix one pc, then do the 2nd.

Try this tool to make sure all traces of Norton are removed.

I would advise updating Adobe Reader, as the latest version clears up any vulnerabilities of previous versions.
First uninstall the version you have on your computer then download and install Adobe Reader 8.1.

Other than that, your log is clean.
