Hi mercidian,

There's no malware showing in your HijackThis log, but of course that doesn't guarantee that you're clean - are you experiencing any symptoms or do you have any reason to suspect infection?

Your Java is outdated and is now a security risk
Go to Start » Control Panel » Add/Remove Programs
Search all previous installed versions of Java. (J2SE Runtime Environment.... )
(They should have this icon next to it: Posted Image)
Remove all versions of Java.
Download and install the newest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) (version 6 update 2), from here:
http://java.sun.com/...loads/index.jsp

Also, there is some tidying up we can do with HijackThis:

Temporarily disable Windows Defender:
Right-click on the Windows Defender icon in the system tray (the grey castle), select Exit and OK the prompt. Windows Defender will automatically start next time you reboot.

Then, open HijackThis, choose Do a system scan only and place a checkmark next to the following lines (if present):

R3 - URLSearchHook: Yahoo! Toolbar - {EF99BD32-C1FB-11D2-892F-0090271D4F88} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)


Then close all open windows apart from HijackThis, press Fix checked, OK the prompt and close HijackThis.

Once complete, please post a new HijackThis log and let me know how your machine is running.
Also, when posting logs, please check that Format->Word Wrap is NOT checked - this makes your logs more readable.
