[Resolved]Possibly Hacked......ms Outlook 2003 Incredibly Slow

Hi,

since recently MS Outlook (installed as part of Office 2003) runs incedibly slow. It takes about 15 seconds just for the programme to start and open with the inbox list. Then it takes a long time before the first email message (top of the inbox list of messages) gets opened.
Once a message appears and i click on another message in the list or go to another mail folder (like sent items or whatever) then it takes ages again.

Problem began a few weeks ago. Other PC functions don't seems to be in any way effected. PC is a PIII 871MHz, 512 MB memory.

Just this evening i noticed that my website, hosted by en external hosting company has been hacked by someone who calls himself SSES. The website is now no longer accesible. I don't know if there's a connection….if my PC has been hacked and the password to my website stolen. I run anti-vir antivirus software, windows XP firewall, AVG malware scanner.

Update as of 14 august, 1700 hours:

problem still exists as stated above. i ran the MS outlook analyser and recovery (in outlook, click on help menu, then on analyse & recovery). this doesn't improve the situation. i ran hijackthis just now. here's the latest log:

Welcome to Tom Coyote, you keep replying to yourself and what that does is takes you out of the Zero Replies Catagory that our helpers look for to work logs. This is why you have gotten no replies.

Your log is fine

If your website got hacked then thats between you and your hosting company. If a hacker wants into your website bad enough they can do it without your password.

As far as Outlook, thats a windows or software issue and this forum is for malware removal only, so I suggest you post here.
