Running XP - and had to do a total recovery. I decided to download IE7 and now my computer seems to be loading slow. Sometimes pages load fast but then other times the same page wont load at all.

Howdy ericwalker, No infection showing here. However, Ad-Aware, Windows Defender, Spyware Doctor and AVG anti-spyware are just too many anti-spyware/adware softwares to have installed on one system. Defender has always been known for it's fairly rigid levels of monitoring and blocking, Ad-Aware has added new service functions that leave it constantly running regardless of settings, Spyware Doctor has also added extra services and additional process hooks that make it very involved in process monitoring and AVG AS's newer service upgrade is causing issues in other areas of operation lately. You should choose one of there and uninstall the rest. Not AVG antivirus though - your system does need to have one AV software updated and running for that area of protection. Go ahead and follow up with the good folks in your other request thread and see if you can get a better setup here to make things work they way you would like.
